BANDITS OF TOMORROW

ELGIN – Building off the popular Bandits of Tomorrow (BOT) games in 2010 that featured two youth teams playing against one-another prior to select Bandits home games, the Chicago Bandits announced that fastpitch teams can begin applying to play games at the new Bandits Stadium in Rosemont, Ill.

This season, the Bandits are opening BOT games up to fastpitch teams of any age group with field dimensions of  210 feet in left and right field and 220 in centerfield. Teams ten and under through women’s majors have the ability to play in the brand new ballpark.

Bandits of Tomorrow games will take place on Thursday’s and Friday’s in June, July and August beginning with Thursday, June 2, 2011 and concluding with Friday, August 19. The Bandits will not find opponents for BOT games, it is recommended that teams sign up in agreement with a predetermined team to play a BOT game.

Each team participating in BOT games will get all the features of a normal Bandits game, but specific to the teams playing. Bandits staff will announce your team’s starting line-up over the PA system, play warm-up and batting music during the game, operate the score board and more.

To participate in Bandits of Tomorrow, each team playing must purchase 100 general admission seats at the group price of $7/ticket (face value – $8). The Bandits encourage teams to sell those tickets to friends, family, coworkers, etc. at a slightly above normal price and use the profits as a fundraiser for their respective organization.

To sign up as a Bandits of Tomorrow team, download the registration form and send it to the Bandits office. Slots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. With the 2011 National Pro Fastpitch schedule set to be released in January, BOT dates that line up with 2011 home games will be filled first. Teams playing in non-Bandits home game dates will need to purchase the required amount of tickets for a future game.

Call the Bandits office at 877-7BANDIT (877-722-6348) with any questions regarding the Bandits of Tomorrow opportunity, or email the office at banditsinfo@chicagobandits.com.
