Amateur Softball Association/USA Softball seek Executive Director in 2013
OKLAHOMA CITY — The Amateur Softball Association/USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, Board of Directors is seeking applications for the position of Executive Director. The person selected for this position is expected to carry out the policies and directives of the ASA/USA Softball Board of Directors, manage the day-to-day affairs of the Association and provide leadership and direction to staff and volunteers at the National Office in Oklahoma City, OK.
Executive Director, Ron Radigonda, has announced his retirement effective December 31, 2013. In order to facilitate a seamless transition, the following timetable has been established to search for and appoint a new Executive Director.
January 1 – 31, 2013 Accept Applications
February 1 – 28, 2013 Evaluate and Screen Applications
March 1 – 31, 2013 Conduct phone interviews and invite finalist to ASA/USA April Board Meeting
April 19 – 20, 2013 Conduct interviews at ASA/USA Board Meeting in Oklahoma City, OK
As stated earlier, a seamless transition of leadership is important to the Association. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be in place by July 1, 2013 and work alongside Executive Director Radigonda until his retirement in December.
