WP Keilani Ricketts. LP Monica Perry. . Bottom 2nd; Pendley reached on an error in center; one away, Pendley scored on Martinez double; Martinez scored on error on throw in. Bottom 3rd: One out, Casey beat out an infield hit; scored on Shults double; Pendley drove in Shults; 4-0. Top 4th: Chamberlain jacked a solo homer with two out, her 38th. In 5th, Shults reached on error at 3rd; one out, Pendley singled; Williams grounded out, rbi. 6-0. Ricketts, who had 11 Ks, retired last 17 batters in a row, for the Sooners 15th consecutive win.
LSU 3, Arizona 0
WP Rachele Fico. LP Nancy Bowling . The Tigers continued progress toward Top Ten recognition took a step forward tonight with the 3-0 defeat of the always dangerous Wildcats, whom the steadily improving Fico (9-0) held to 4 hits. One out top 1st, Blades beat out a hit to short. Falcon jacked a 2-run homer. Top 2nd, Kloss walked, and scored with two out on Andrews slashing slap to center. Bowling, a rookie, held the Tigers after that point. Babcock pitched the last two at-bats and was also not threatened. UofA led the 1st with a single by Wilson, Del Ponte walked with one out, but a pop to 2nd and a K ended that threat. Bottom 6th: Wildcats had 2 on again, a second walk by Del Ponte and asingle by Goodacre, but the Tigers held. Thegame ended with Fico leaping to haul in a potential liner by Lavine.
Washington 14, Georgia 2
WP Walker. LP Montemayor. Bulldogs lost their third game of this Classic. Huskies scored 4 in 1st, 5 in the 6th, and 5 in the 7th. The big hit was Inglesby’s grand slam which made the score 9-2.
Utah 7, LIU 0
WP Amu LP Vondrak. Hoopiiaina led bottom 1st with home run, start of a 3-run at-bat, and tripled in a runin 2nd. Frankhauser, Mendenhall, Elliott and Shaum also had rbi hits.
Ohio State 14, Cal Poly 1
WP Kelly LP Yates. Unranked Buckeyes improved to 9-4 with this game, a 15-hit outing. Leading 5-0 after 5, OSU erupted for 7 runs in the 6th. Conrad had 3 rbi on 3-4 hitting, including a homer. Carrillo also had 3 rbi (2-3), while McIntyre, Gresham, Pranti, Pickett and Rennie had one rbi each. Westlund drove in the single run for Cal Poly, now 3-9.
Georgia Tech 1, Oregon State 9
WP DeMore. LP Kleinschmidt, Tech had 7 hits but yielded 10 while making 3 errors. Hampto belted a 2-run homer. Santana had 3 rbi on 2 hits; Botuska also had 3 rbi on 3-3 hitting.
UCLA 4, Maryland 3
WP Hall. LP Schmeiser. Hall was relieved by Carda, holding a 4-0 lead after 6 innings. But a combination of hits and walks yielded 3 runs off Carda. Offensively, Carda and Sataraka homered for the Bruins.
San Diego State 5, Ohio State 0
WP O’Toole. LP DiDomenico. Bauer drove in 2 runs; the May sisters one each.
Nevada 3, Long Island 0
WP Dortch 12 K 2H. LP Vondrak.Butera, Jenkins and Fincher each drove in a run.
UCLA 5, Oklahoma State 1
WP Carda LP Espinosa. Bruins racked 2 runs bottom 1st; the Cowgirls answered with one in the 2nd by Brown. UCLA added single runs in the 4th, 5th and 6th. Carda helped her cause with 3 rbi on 2 hits, including her 5th homer. Bates added an rbi.
Cal 3, Maryland 2
WP Ontiveros. LP Martin. Cal scored its 3 runs top 1st; Ziegenhirt 2 hits olus a homer drove in the three runs. Maier unleashed a 2-run Terp bomb in the 5th but Maryland could not get closer.
BYU 10, UC SB 12 (8)
WP Wisdom. LP Howell. Collins was charged with 7 BYU runs, Pingree with 3. Howell was responsible for 8 UCSB runs, Umphlett for 4. UCSB scored 2 runs top 8th.
Florida 5, Georgia Tech 3
WP Rogers. LP Rush. Trailing 3-1, the Gators scored 4 runs top 6th. Bases loaded, one run scored qwhen Munro was hbp. Stewart cleared the bases with a double. Castro had driven in the earlier run. Tech’s scores included a solo by Johnsky and an rbi by Rudnik.
Oregon 2, Cal Poly 1
WP Hawkins. LP Wurst. Cal Poly scored bottom 2nd; Cochiolo drove in Gerhart. Ceoand Cuico drove in the Ducks runs.
Utah 5, Nevada 2
WP Nieto, LP Brewer. Nevada scored 2 runs bottom 4th. Utah scored all five runs top 7th. Hoopiiaina brought home 3 runs; Elliott and Fawson had rbi.
Northwestern 4, BYU 1
WP Letourneau. LP Howell. Shamo-Hudson scored the BYU run. Majam, Bastand Tonz drove in the NU runs.

WP J Henderson. LP Arnold. The Bears scored a run in the 3rd then 4 runs top 4th. Henderson had 3 rbi on 2 hits, including a home run. She struck out 8,.
Oregon 11, Nebraska 2
WP Moore. LP Edwards. Edwards almost upset Oklahoma Friday but the Ducks racked 6 hits and 9 runs off her.Thomason’s 2-run homer accounted for the Huskers runs. Takeda and Cuico went yard for Oregon each with a 2-run homer. Howard had 4 rbi on 3 hits.

WP Lamberth. LP Waldusky. Fourth time NU has won at this Classic with runs in the 6th or later innings. NU undefeated at Cathedral City 2013, LMU scored twice in 2nd; Wildcats scored 3 runs top 7th, but LMU tied with a run in bottom half. Northwestern scored 4 runs top 9th.
