WP Leslie Jury 4H,7K.  LP Riley Fisher, charged with 10 earned runs.  After 3 run Bama 1, Cyclones took lead with 4 in 2nd, error, passed ball, single by Reese, sac fly by Miller.  Tide rolled in 6 in 3rd; Case rbi walk, Patterson rbi/hbp, McCleney and Lafaele rbi walks.  McCleney tripled in 5th, scored on Hunt sac fly. Bama reached run rule border with 3 in 6th.

WP Lauren Sewell 1H,6K.  LP Ashley Beza. Moyer walked, scored on a Bama error in 3rd.  Bama scored 6 in bottom half; 2-run double by McCleney; Hunt rbi single; Richard rbi single; Iamirri 2-run single.  In 5th, Richard rbi double; Hawkins 2-run triple. Two of the runs charged to Beza; reliever Carrullo charged with 5.  Reliever Link with 3.

WP Alexia Cooper 2H.  LP Rhoda Marsteller.  Sun Devils, who racked 11 hits, scored three runs in each of the first three innings.  Connolly scored for SUB top 2nd on Locatell single.  Cheyenne Coyle led ASU with 2 rbi.

WP Mackenzie Popescue 1-hitter.  LP Abby Jo Tometich.  Sun Devils scored all eight runs bottom 1st.  Freeman rbi single, Steele rbi double, Girard rbi single, Aubrecht jacked a 3-run homer, before North Dakota could make an out.  After a pitching change, Johnson and Coyle drove in the final runs.

WP Alyssa Bache. 5H 12K.  LP Nicole Pagano.  Gators scored four runs in 2nd, added 2 in 4th.  Teams traded single runs in 5th and 6th.  Clifford hit a solo for Mount.  Haeger had 2 rbi for Gators.

#5 Texas A&M upset by #14 Michigan 9-2
WP Sara Driesenga 7H 10K.  LP Lauren Ainsley.  Jumped on Aggie pitching, 4 singles and 2 errors top 1st put UM up 4-0 before TAMU had an at-bat.  Rbi’s by Driesenga and Blanchard top 2nd were matched in the bottom by Stark’s 2-run homer.  Romero homered in the 4th for a 7-2 UM lead.Lane capped the scoring with a 2-run homer in the n7th.  First Aggie loss of the season; 19-1.  Michigan 12-3.

WP Jolene Henderson 2H, 9K.  LP Amy Letourneau 2H.  Evenly matched at-bat, the game would come down to errors at  the end.  Bottom 7th: Codes hbp, stole 2nd, Vonk reached on a catcher on her sacrifice; both scored.  Cal loaded the bases but couldn’t advance.  Henderson, who had fanned two hitters in the 6th, struck out 2 more in the 7th.

WP Blaire Luna 1-hitter, 13K.  LP Caralisa Connell.  Ogle’s 3rd inning rbi single and Thom’s score on an error in 5th were all the offense Luna needed.  She struck out 3 in the 1st, 2 in the 3rd, 3 in the 4th, 3 in the 5th, and the final batter in the 7th.

#8 Texas upset by Hofstra 7-2
WP Olivia Galati 8H, 8K.  LP Holly Kern.  Hofstra outhit the usually muscular Horns 14-8.  Hofstra scored 3 runs top 3rd, rbi’s by Trippi, Slugh and Fitzgerald.  Bruins relieved Kern.  After Hofstra stranded 2 top 5th, Schmidt, Kern, Smith and Hoagland (rbi) singled; Washington brought home a second run on a fielder’s choice.  Ziemba opened the Hofstra 6th with a solo, and jacked a 3-run homer top 7th.  Texas is 17-2; Hofstra 4-8.

WP Paige McDuffie 3H.  LP Jillian Compton.  Bates 2-out HR in 1st.  Bennett scored on error in 3rd. Carda singled, scored on passed ball in 4th. Bennett scored on error in 5th. Bates 3-run double in 6th.  Kennedy scored on Megee single in Bulldogs 7th.

#11 LSU upset by #12 Oregon 10-2 (6)
LP Rachele Fico.  Two singles and a Falcon error gave the Ducks a 2-run edge at the start; Peterson’s rbi double and Pappas rbi single pushed the lead to 4-0.   The Ducks racked 5 in the 4th, including Takeda’s rbi single Cuico’s 2-run homer.  The Tigers scored two  in the 5th on Supak’s single. 

#11 LSU def Syracuse 7-6
WP Ashley CZechner, 2 innings relief.Falcon (2-4) hit game-winning double in 6th. Rally started with Heyward double; AJ Andrews walked.  Blades was 3-4.  Syracuse had taken a lead off Tiger starter Meghan Patterson: 3 hbp, walk.  LSU led 2-1 before Grant jacked a 3-run homer for the Orange.   Czechner entered in 5th with bases loaded but escaped.  Grant’s second homer gave Syracuse the 6-5 advantage.

#12 Oregon def Long Island 8-1
WP Karissa Hovinga.  LP Cassie Vondrak. Pappas had 2 homers, including 3-run shot in 2nd.  Sullivan had a 2-run dinger in the 5th.  Howard also homered.

#14 Michigan def Georgia Tech 6-1
WP Sara Driesenga. 4H, 15K.   LP Hope Rush. Wolverines raced past the gate, converting five singles in the 1st into 4 runs.  Tech answered with one in the bottom on Taylor’s rbi single.  Ironically, after the fast start, no more scoring UM scored 2 with 2 out top 7th.

#15 Stanford upset by Iowa 7-6
WP Kayla Massey  LP Kelsey Stevens.  The Cardinal scored twice bottom 1st; throwing error and Rich rbi double.  But Hawkeyes fought back with 6 runs, top 2nd, after Gyerman’s rbi left bases loaded, Gerhart relieved Stevens.  Wall hbp rbi, Blank 2 run single.  Cardinal recouped one in bottom on White’s rbi single.  Stanford closed gap in 3rd on Bonstrom 2-run double.  Massey led the 5th with a solo shot.  An rbi single by Rich in 6th brought hope but the rally died on a double play.  Ashby laced a one-out triple in the 7th ut was caught off 3rd.  The Cardinal outhit the Hawkeyes 12-4.

WP Cassandra Darrah.  LP Teagan Gerhart.  Cardinal stranded 11 runners; left bases loaded in 6th. Wisconsin scored top 1st on Blackshear’s 2-run double.  Stewart rbi single in 3rd; Van Abel rbi single in 6th.

WP Caitlin Sill.  LP T Schulz.  S Lacey Middlebrooks.  Tulsa scored bottom 2nd, Kernen scoring on Blanton triple.  Edmiston’s 3-run triple in 4th padded lead to 4-0.  But, Lamar’s McDowell and Carter each jacked a 2-run homer to tie.  Middlebrooks broke the brief tie with a leadoff homer in the bottom.  Tulsa expanded the lead with rbi’s by Barrett and Cobb in the 6th.

WP Shelby Babcock.  LP Ashley Ercolano.  Wildcats led 3-0, no outs, bottom 1st, on Del Ponte’s 3-run dinger.  Bowling doubled, rbi; Young sac fly, Perez rbi single.  Riverside tallied 2 top 2nd on Sanchez 2-run homer.  Wildcats plated six more in 3rd; Lavine 2-run double; Goodacre 2-run single; Bowling 2-run double.

WP Estela Pinon  LP Lauren Hynes  S Shelby Babcock.  Wildcats took command bottom 1st with 3 runs, two on Goodacre single, Perez rbi walk.  AofU expanded lead on Young’s 2-run homer in 3rd.  Terriers threatened top 6th; Volpano jacked 3-run homer.  Goodacre slugged a 2-out solo in the bottom.  Babcock finished the game.
