Alabama 9, Kentucky 1 (5).  WP Leslie Jury.  LP Lauren Cumbess.  Almost over before Kentucky had an at-bat.  Tide scored 8 runs top 1st.  Braud reached on an error; Fenton, Boccia and Locke hit consecutive singles, Locke 2 rbi.  One out, Lunceford rbi single.  After Weaver relieved, Conley jacked 3-run homer.  Bases loaded, Fenton rbi walk; Boccia hbp rbi.  Chandqa Bell relieved and got the two outs.  Kentucky scored bottom 2nd, Carroll scored on Dill single.  Braud scored final run in 5th on error.

Oklahoma 5, Wichita State 2.  WP Michelle Gascoigne 10K, 2H.  LP Sloan Anderson.  The Sooners were held off until bottom4th.  Two out, Williams walked; Chamberlain socked rbi double.  Top 5th: first batter reached, then Gascoigne struck out side.  Bottom 5th:  Henson tripled, Turang scored; Henson scored on error. Bottom 6th: Casey slugged 2-run homer.

Missouri 9, Alcorn State 1 (5).  Bailey Erwin 3-hitter.  Tigers racked 5 runs  1st.  Genovesewalked, stole 2nd; Fleming walked, Roth rbi single; Hudson rbi single; Hudson and Roth scored on Randazzo single.  Miller singled, scored on Stephens rbi single.  Alcorn State scored   Top 4th: Alcorn State scored on Davis rbi.  Bottom 4th: Marston singled; Fleming rbi single; Roth walked; Hudson rbi double.  Genovese scored final run on error in 5th.

Missouri 8, Boiser State 0 (5).  WP Thomas.  Earlywine’s 400th victory.  Up 4-0 after four, Tigers reached run-rule with 4 runs botom 5th.  Two on, one out, Muller singled; loading the bases; Sykes rbi single; Krebs bases-loaded rbi walk; Marston 2-run single.

Florida 5, Tennessee 2.  WP Rogers; LP Ivy Renfroe; S Haeger.  Top 1st: Coyle jacked 2-out homer.  Vols took lead 2-1 on Shipman rbi single and Dotson rbi double.  Gators rebounded with three runs to capture lead. Gammel and Fagan singlee; one out, Medina rbi single; bases loaded, Coyle slashed a 2-run single.  Top 4th: S Fagan one-out single; Coyle walked on full count; two out, Haeger rbi single.  Coyle caught stealing.  V ols stranded 2,bottom 4th.  Gators left 2 top 6th.  Vols rallied bottom 6th.  Shipman and Dotson singled, and Haeger relieved Rogers.  Burchell walked, and Vols had bases loaded, no outs.  Shipman was out at home on a fielder’s choice.  Tarango and Davis struck out, leaving bases loaded.  Gators stranded 2 more, top 7th, but game ended on three Tennessee groundouts.

Virginia sweeps Georgia Tech.  Once nationally ranked, Tech lost to the Cavaliers 13-2, 3-1.  Another ACC contender, Maryland def Princeton 10-6, Kent State 2-1. #22 Florida State swept NC State 7-1, 8-0. Tech was the pre-season favorite but there are many hands reaching for the crown.

California 12,San Diego State 0 (5).  WP Jolene Henderson.  LP Rebecca Arbino.  Bears scored 8 runs in 2nd.  Williams and Kostreba singled; Cordes hbp loading the bases; Danielle Henderson rbi single; Jolene Henderson rbi fielder’s choice; Echevarria bases loaded rbi walk; D Henderson scored on error; Arioto rbi walk; Wliliams 2-run single.  Cal added 4 runs in 5th.

Stanford 8, Ole Miss 4.  Teagan Gerhart earned 20th win.  Bottom 1st: Hanewich 2 run single.  Ole Miss took lead top 2nd on Brown’s 2-run homer.  Cardinal tied inbottomon White’s rbi double.  Winter broke tie with rbi in 4th.  Bottom 5th: Cardinal ended any suspense with 4 runs.  Hansen doubled, Rich homered; 2 more runs crossed on Becerra’s triple plus error.  Ladner homered for Ole Miss top 6th.  Two Rebel errors.

 Washington 4, Noreth Dakota 0.  WP Walker, 3H, 11K.  LP Frank.  Huskies used a spread offense: single runs across 4 innings. Williams rbi single; Monk rbi double; Lahners rbi single; last run scored on wild pitch.

UCLA 9, Charleston Southern 1 (5).  Bottom 1st: Schroeder led off with home run.  Yudi’s rbi single made score 2-0 after one.  CSU scored top 2nd; Adams singled, scored on Lombard triple.  Bottom 3rd: Bates singled, Camuso walked; one out, Yudin jacked a 2-run homer.  Bruins sealed winwith 5 runs in the 5th.  Bates and Camuso singled; Yudin walked, loading the bases.  Rother came into pitch for CSU.  Fox cleared the bases with a double (3 rbi). Fox scored on a passed ball.  UCLA reached run rule; with Carda on base, Tumalu singled; Schroeder reached on an error, Carda scoring.

 LSU 1, Troy 0.  Rachele Fico pitched fourth 1-hitter; junior has 400 Ks.
