BYU 14, Purdue 6. WP Almond 10K.
Oklahoma 17, DePaul1 (5). A barrage of at least 19 hits, including a grand slam by Chamberlain (5 rbi), doubles by Chamberlain, Ricketts (2), Casey (2 rbi on 2 hits), Shults fueled the run-rule. Braget homered for DePaul off reliever Gascoigne. Ricketts had 7 Ks in 3 innings.
Michigan 2, Notre Dame 1. Taylor Hasselbach walk off single.
Arizona State 3, BYU 0. Strong defensive effort behind a 5-hitter by Hillary Bach. Both teams pulled off a double play, and Bach pitched out of a bases-loaded situation. Sun Devils scored all 3 runs bottom 3rd. Katelyn Boyd hit an rbi triple; Johnson and Caporuscio had rbi’s.

Oklahoma 2, Michigan 0. WP Keilani Ricketts; LP Hayley Wagner. Good defensive game, 7 hits for the Sooners, 4 hits for the Wolverines. Both had multiple runners in scoring position, Michigan loading the bases with one out in the 5th. OU scored in the 2nd when Chsmberlain hit a monster home run which bounced off the berm behind leftf field. An apparent Sooner score on a sac fly in the 4th was nullified when the umpire ruled the runner left early. After UM failed to scored in the 5th, Oklahoma had 2 on, no outs; UM prevented one run by catching a runner between home and 3rd; but Norris nailed a 2-out rbi single. OU also stranded 2 runners in the 7th. Michigan went down in order.
California 6, Texas 3
Louisiana Lafayette 9, Arizona State 2. The 11th ranked Ragin Cajuns outplayed the 5th ranked Sun Devils, driving All American Dallas Escobedo from the circle, down 5-0 after 4 innings.
The Ragin Cajuns stranded 2 runners in the 1st; in the 3rd, Natalie Fernandez reached on a chop single; Nerissa Myers slugged a 2-run homer. Top 4th, Paige Cormier walked, Sarah Draheim slashed a home run down the right field line. Cherry singled, scored on a fielder’s choice. Two out in the 5th, Madeline Popescue, who had relieved Escobedo, yielded a triple to Cormier, who scored on Draheim’s single. Top 6th, ULL added two runs on rbi hits by Myers and Matttelaine Haack.8-0. To this point, frshman Jordan Wallace had effectively shut down the ASU offense. But, bottm 6th, Boyd jacked a home run. Alix Johnson tripled. Annie Lockwood walked – and the cheering among ASU supporters escalated. But Elizabeth Caporuscio’s sinking liner was caught expertly by Katie Smith. Laura Bradley singled in a run. But, Nikole Afusia popped to the infield. Having missed a chance for a sixth inning run rule, ULL added a ninth run, Cerry scoring on a Fernandez rbi. ASU went down in order.
