WP Michelle Gascoigne,  LP   . Gascoigne hurled 15 Ks, to improve to 10-1.  Casey drove in the first OU run inthe 1st on a groundout.  In the 4th, Sampson scored on an error; Martinez singled in the final run.   The Sooners have won four consecutive games without giving up a run.

WP Keilani Ricketts 1-hitter 10K.  LP Dani Bonnet.  Sooners racked 4 runs bottom 1st.  Chamberlain walked; one out, Pendley homered.  Two out, Shults walked, Williams homered.  Bottopm 2nd:  Martinez, Turang singled; both advanced on wild pitch; Chamberlain walked, loading bases.  Martinez scored on Pendley rbi groundout; Ricketts singled, 2 rbi. 7-0.  Sooners clinched run-rule margin with 2 runs, bottom 4th; Martinez rbi single, second run scored on error.
#2 Arizona State def #21 Virginia Tech 11-0

WP Mackenzie Popescue 2H.  LP Jasmin Harrell.  Sun Devils scored 5 in the 4th.  Steele solo HR; Aubrecht 3 rbi; Coyle 2 rbi.
#2 Arizona State upset by #14 Michigan 5-4
WP Sara Driesenga.  LP Dallas Escobedo.  S Haylie Wagner.  Wolverines win despite being outhit 14-5.  ASU scored bottom 2nd on Kemp’s one-out homer but left 2 on.  Top 4th: UM took lead on Lane’s 2-run homer. Bottom 4th: ASU loaded bases, Freeman 2-run single.  Steele rbi single, 4-2.  Michigan narrowed gap on Sappingfield rbi single in 5th.  Top 6th: Lane walked with one out; Lawrence reached on throwing error by Escobedo; Knapp singled up the middle, 2 rbi.  Bottom: Steele doubled; stranded. Bottom 7th: Parlich singled, stranded.
#3 Florida def #7 Tennessee 6-5 (8)

WP Hannah Rogers.  LP Ivy Renfroe.  The teams traded blows from the outset.  The Vols struck top 1st on Tarango’s 2-run homer.  Two out in the bottom, Gators tied on rbi singles by Horton and Schwarz.  The teams traded single runs in the 4th.  The Gators moved ahead bottom 6th; Damico scored on a wild pitch, Stewart hit an rbi single.  Gibson knotted the score with a two out, 2-run homer, top 7th.But, the Vols left bases loaded.The Gators stranded two in the bottom.  Bottom 8th: Medina opened with a double; Fuller singled; Stewart was given a pass. Tofft walked, rbi.  Each team had 11 hits. Haeger gave up 2 runs.  They meet again Saturday.

Tide helped Gamecocks inaugurate new stadium. WP Leslie Jury.  LP Katie Marks.  The Gamecocks made a game of it, scoring 2 runs in the 3rd on an rbi single by Hathorn and Struett’s sac fly.  The Tide countered with three long balls in the 4th; Hunt led with a homer; Richard and Lafaele homered. Braud scored for the Tide in the 5th on Hunt’s single.  But, SC tied in the bottom. Yeske led with a solo shot; one out, Page doubled; two out, Struett doubled, rbi.  Top 7th: one out, Hawkins singled, Braud reached on an error at 3rd; McCleney tripled, 2 rbi.
#8 Missouri def Ole Miss 11-0 (5)
WP Nicole Hudson.  LP Madi Osias.  Hudson and Chelsea Thomas combined for a no-hitter.  Top 1st:  Crane  and Marston hbp; Hudson walked; Crane scored on a passed ball; Roth fanned; Osias was relieved.  Randazzo drew an rbi walk.  The Tigers doubled their lead with 4 runs in the 3rd. Randazzo rbi double; Hay reached on an error, rbi; Genovese doubled in 2 runs.  Mizzou doubled its score again with 4 runs in the 4th.  Hudson doubled, rbi; Randazzo smacked a 2-run triple.
#10 Texas def Penn State 8-4
WP Holly Kern  LP Christy von Pusch.  Wide open game at start.  Horns scored twice in bottom 1st; Hoagland walked, Thom doubled; Ogle 2 rbi single.  Presto 2-run homer tied top 2nd.  Horns came back with two on singles by Hoagland and Thom.Again, the Lady Lions clawed back with a 2-run shot by Bell.Kern relieved Bruins.  Texas regained lead in bottom with another 2-run burst, a Shireman rbi single and a score on a wild pitch.Texas added runs in the 5th and 6th.

WP Rachele Fico 1-hitter, 9K.  LP Kelsey Nunely. Fico became the 4th Tiger to register 700 Ks (Sneed, Schmidt and Turner) as she improved to 13-3.  LSU 21-5.  Kentucky 19-5. Heyward was 3-3; Andrews, Simmons and Wray had 2 rbi each.

WP Sara Driesenga.  LP Nancy Bowling.  Wildcats scored top 1st; Suitos singled, scored on Young’s groundout.  Wolverines unwound bottom 4th.  Doyle led with a triple, scored with one out on wild pitch; Romero homered. Driesenga walked; two out, Knapp tripled, rbi.  Blanchard doubled, rbi.  Babcock relieved Bowling. Romero drew an rbi walk in the 6th; Crummey scored final run on passed ball.
