GAME NOTES

UCLA 9, Ohio 1 (5). While Kerr limited Ohio to two hits, Bonner kept the Bruins big guns off the board until bottom 4th when they racked 6 runs.   Leadoff Schroeder singled; Bates sacrificed; with two out, Harrison was hbp; Fox walked, filling the bags.  Yudin jacked a grand slam  Tiumalu homered.  Ohio put Colvin in the circle; Lindvall and Snow walked; Schroeder doubled, rbi.  Bonner returned to the circle.  Lashley scored for Ohio, top 5th.  In the bottom, DiSalvatore and Harrison (rbi) hit consecutive doubles.  Fox belted a 2-run homer, the third dinger given up by Bonner.
 Baylor 2, Florida International 0.  First game of double header.  FIU 3 hits, Baylor 2.  Bears scored bottom 1st; Shelton walked; advanced illegal pitch; Walker walked; Turk sacrificed; Leal singled, rbi.  Two out in 4th: Redfearn singled, stole 2nd; Freeland hbp; when Freeland stole 2nd, Redfearn scored.
Virginia 8, Georgetown 4.  Cavaliers led 4-0 after four; Hoyas scored 3 runs top 5th on Stark’s 3-run shot, which UVA answered with one in the bottom 5th and 3 bottom 6th.  Carter homered top 7th for Hoyas.  Harris and Skinkis had 2 rbi each for UVA; Bowdren and G Cipolloni also had rbi’s.
Baylor 4, FIU 3.  Baylor scored bottom 1st on Leal’s 2-run homer, her 8th of the season.  Hosack scored on a throwing error in the Bears’ 2nd; Redfearn scored on Shelton’s double, closing out Baylor scoring.  FIU cut the lead in half with 2 runs in the 3rd, on rbi’s by Peller (double) and McClain single.  Erik scored on McClain’s single in the 7th, but FIU left the tying and winning runs on base.
