GAME NOTES (from Wednesday)
South Florida Upsets Florida 4-1. The Bulls used early runs and a complete game from Sara Nevins to defeat the 4th ranked Gators, snapping the latter’s 16-game home winning streak. Nevins pitched out of jams all game, helped by two double plays from a stout Bulls defense. Im the 6th, Salvarola scooped up a grounder with bases loaded, and got the force at 2nd. The Bulls scored 2 each in the 1st and 2nd innings. Florida scored on Haeger’s home run in the 4th.
Oklahoma: Keilani Ricketts threw her fourth one-hitter in the 4-0 OU in over Oklahoma State Wednesday. Henson homered, OU’s 46th dinger in 31 games.
LSU: Brittany Mack fired a 4-hitter in the 4-0 win over McNeese State, giving the Tigers an eight-game winning streak.
Texas 15, Houston 4 (5). The Longhorns scored eight runs in the 1st and seven runs in the 5th as Karina Scott and Mandy Ogle both hit grand slams.Taylor Hoagland hit 2 homers.
