WP Michelle Gascoigne.  4H,6K. LP Juliana Shrum.  Sooners loaded bases, 2 out bottom 1st, Williams 2-run double. OU stranded 2 in 1st and 2nd.  Top 3rd: St Pierre and Collum singled, St Pierre stole home.  Cullum to 3rd on wild pitch, stranded. OU again left 2 on.  Top 4th: Gascoigne relieved Ricketts.  Bottom 4th: one out, Chamberlain doubled, scored on Casey single. Top 5th: Anderson and Cullum singled, no score.  Pendley led with double, stranded.  Bottom 6th: one out, Chamberlain reached on error, scored on Casey double. OU 18-1. Houston 10-7.

WP Whitney Canion 4H, 11K.  LP Dallas Escobedo 3HR.  Canion, one of the more highly regarded pitchers, handed the Sun Devils their first loss.  Hays set the Baylor tone with a 2-run homer, top 1st.  ASU answered in bottom, Johnson scored on error, Coyle scored on Freeman’s sac fly.  Baylor knocked Escobedo out with 2 out in 3rd, Smith and Stearns hit back-to-back homers. Top 4th, Landrith hit 2-run homer off Popescue.  Baylor left two, and left only one other runner remainder of game.  ASU stranded six.  ASU 21-1.  Baylor 19-3.

WP Mel Dumezich 4H,9K.  LP Macy Jones. The Aggies tagged Jones for three dingers; scored their 12 runs in 4th and 5th.  After TAMU left bases loaded in top 2nd, Lady Lions scored mtheir two runs in bottom on Hatfield’s 2-run single.  Dumezich opened top 4th with a solo shot.  Garza 2-run homer; TYsarczyk scored on error after Clopton single; Jones relieved. Stark rbi single.  Top 5th: Morgan doubled in 3 runs; Dumezich rbi single. Rayburn hbp, rbi.  Texas A&M 22-1.  Penn State 3-7.

8. Texas upset by Fordham 9-7
WP Jamie Labovick 2HR.  LP Holly Kern 1HR.  Luety’s 2 homers powered the Rams upset.  A slugfest from the start, the Horns scored a quartet top 1st, after scoring on an error, Ogle doubled in 2 runs, Schmidt rbi sac fly.  Undaunted, Fordham captured the lead with 5 runs in the bottom.  Smith walked, Fortier doubled, Luety jacked a 3-run shot. Daubman and Palumbo hit back-to-back homers., all off Gabby Smith.  Kern relieved.  The Horns tied in top 2nd, Washington scoring on Bruins single, but Fordham answered in the bottom with Luety’s two-out homer.  The Rams stretched their lead with 3 in the 3rd: two out, Porter struck a bases-loaded single. 9-6.  Texas closed out its scoring with homers by Hoagland and Scott in the 4th. The Horns stranded single runners the next two innings, ending with three groundouts in the 7th.  Bruins relieved for Texas in the 4th; Fordham stranded 2 in scoring position. Fordham 6-9. Texas 19-2.

WP Rachel LeCoq. LP Rachele Fico 10K.  Bottom 2nd: Starting pitcher Connell yielded 4 walks, Kloss rbi; Alcaraz scored on wild pitch.  LeCoq relieved and held the Tigers to 3 hits.  Top 3rd: Keller singled, scored on Wolny double.Rckenbrod drove in Wolny, tying score.  Top 5th: Keller walked, scored on Ruckenbrod FC.  Top 6th: Kiyohara singled; two out, Esteban rbi single; Keller rbi single.  Ruckenbrod opened Cardinals 7th with a homer.  Soles singled after 2 Ks, the 11th hit off Fico.  LSU down 1-2-3.  LSU 17-4. Louisville 16-3.
