#1 Oklahoma vs Wichita State DH/postponed to March 27

#2 Alabama upset by #4 Florida 8-4
WP Hannah Rogers 6H, 5K.  LP Jackie Traina 9H, 6K. S Lauren Haeger 4K.  The Tide came to this SEC showdown at 22-0,  but with critics questioning is Bama that much better than some one-loss teams like Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Florida — given that the Tide had yet to play a team of consequence.  The Gators just made a statement that the top of the pyramid is crowded.  Florida scored top 1st on Haeger’s single.  Bama rebounded with 2 in the 3rd, scoring on a wild pitch and a bases-loaded walk.  Florida tied briefly top 4th; Schwarz led with a walk, eventually scored with 2 out on a wild pitch.  Bama flexed its considerable muscle in the bottom, moving ahead on Hunt’s rbi double Hays 2-out rbi single.  Trailing 4-2, the Gators got one-out singles from Little and Horton; Toft singled, loading the bases; Little scored on a wild pitch; Castro walked; Fuller doubled in  two more runs scored (Gametracker went blank).  Now ahead 5-4, Florida surged in the 7th with 3 more runs.  Stewart singled; Merritt sacrificed but Stewart scored on a throwing error at 2nd.  Haeger and Little singled.  Horton doubled, rbi.  Leslie Jury relieved Traina.  Toft singled up the middle for the third run.  In the bottom, Haeger walked on a full count, but Traina, one of the more powerful hitting pitchers, struck out. Fichtner flied to left.  Haeger fanned Hays.

#6 California def Pacific 7-2
WP Jolene Henderson  LP Dani Bonnett.  D. Henderson, Ziegenhirt, and Cordes homered.  Cordes was 3-4, 3rbi.

#9 UCLA upset by CS Northridge 3-2
WP Mia Pagano.  LP Ally Carda.  CSN wins with 2 runs bottom 7th.  UCLA took lead top 1st on Bates’ 2-run homer.  CSN narrowed gap with Maasrbi double bottom 4th.  Bruins left bases loaded top 7th.  In bottom, pinch-hitter Tyler wasa hbp; pinch runner Wassmer scored on Bindi walkoff 2-run homer.

#11 Texas def #18 Louisiana-Lafayette 9-4
WP Blaire Luna. 5H, 8K.  LP Kristin Martinez.  Ragin’ Cajuns took brief lead top 1st on Haack’s 2-run homer.  Horns answered with 3 in bottom.  Hoagland led with double, scored one out later on Thom single; two out, Scott and Smith rbi singles.  ULL tied top 2nd on Corbello leadoff homer.  Texas broke tie with 4 runs in 4th.  Smith double, Schmidt single, CEO 2-run double; twoout, Thom and Ogle rbi singles.  Horns added 2 bottom 6th.  Maly hit rbi single with 2 out in OSU 7th.

#11 Texas def Louisiana-Lafayette 7-1
WP Kim Bruins.  LP Wallace.  The Horns started their double-header sweep with Thom’s 2-run homere bttom 1st.  Ogle and Bruins had rbi’s in the 3rd.  Schmidt singled, scored unearned run in 4th.  Walsh homered to open the Cajuns 5th, and was answered by Schmid’s rbi in the bottom.  The Horns closed out the scoring with Thom’s second homer in the 6yh.

#14 Michigan def UCF 11-2 (5)
WP Haylie Wagner. LP Mackenzie Audas.  UM scored unearned run top 1st, then racked 3 in 2nd, including Knapp sac fly amd Romero rbi double.  UCF took one back on Garcia homer in the bottom.  UM scored a quintet in 3rd, including Knapp rbi single; Dpyle rbi single; and Sappingfield 2-run single.  UCF scored in bottom on Schroder rbi single.  UM closed scoring with 2 in 5th.

#15 Kentucky vs Marshall//postponed

#16 Washington vs Ohio//rained out.

#19 Stanford vs UC Davis//rescheduled for May 1

#21 Tulsa def Oklahoma State 5-1
WP Lacey Middlebrooks. LP Kat Espinosa. S Aimee Creger.  Tulsa posted 3 runs, bottom 3rd, Barrett rbi double, Henshaw 2-run single.  Cowgirls scored top 4th on Ettinger homer.  Tulsa came back with 2 runs in the bottom, inc Cobb rbi triple.
