Longwood 2, Virginia 1. Tightly contested. Cavaliers scored bottom 4th; Ericka Cipolloni led with single; Skinkis sac bunt; Javaras walked; with two out, Cipolloni scored on throwing error by Wells. Longwood took control with 2 runs, top 6th. Nuckols singled with 2 out; Margadonna singled; Short singled, rbi, Simmons singled to left, rbi. Cavaliers stranded 2 in bottom 6th. Bottom 7th: Williams and G Cipolloni singled, no outs, but were stranded on 2nd and 3rd.
Penn State 2, Kennesaw State 1 (8). Lady Lions scored both runs top 8th. Ostman on 2nd (ITB), Bell jacked 2-run shot. With Tarvin on 2nd for KSU, two outs, Burkett singled rbi, but was stranded at 2nd.
Georgia Tech 2, Penn State 0. Rush homered in the bottom 4th. Adkins relieved on the 6th. With two out bottom 6th, Bear crushed the first pitch for a solo homer.
North Carolina 7, Central Florida 6. Trailing 4-3, Tar Heels scored four runs in 6th. Mahon singled, scored for UNC top 1st. UCF countered with 3 runs in bottom; Jest, Swan singled; McClain walked, loading bases. Menendez 2 run single; McClain scored on fielding error. Lane singled, scored UCF 2nd. Wheeler, Scarboro scored for Caolina in 5th. Four-run rally in 6th beganwith Dickey walk; Robinson singled; Foulks walked; bases loaded, McKinney rbi single; 4 runs on 3 hits, but UNC left bases loaded. UCF loaded bases, bottom 7th, on consecutive singles by Lane, Jest and Swan. Land rbi; McClain sac fly, 7-6. UCD stranded potential tying and winning runs.
Auburn 8, Connecticut 6 (6). Tigers scored 4, bottom 1st. Guzman rbi single; Harrison, Eisterhold rbi doubles in 5th. Eisterhold 3-run homer. Harrison solo HR in 3rd. Harrison, Eisterhold rbi doubles in 5th. Mirphy solo HR in 6th.
Arizona State 10, Creighton 0. Sun Devils scored 3 bottom 1st, then 7 in 2nd. Lockwood slugged 3-run homer in 1st. In 2nd, Johnson walked; Urfer doubled; Boyd walked; sacks full, Rogers singled in 2 runs. Parlich walked. Donndenwirth singled in 2 runs. Telecky relived Snygg. Castillo walked; Johnson 2-run single. Urfer singled, rbi.
