GAME NOTES

 Oklahoma 11, Oklahoma State 1 (5).  WP Keilani Ricketts, 1H in 4 innings.  LP Kat Espinosa yielded 3 homers to the Sooners.  OU, which had 10 hits, scored 3 top 1st; Martinez walked, Chsamberlain doubled, Shults jacked a 3-run homer.  The Cowgirls scored their run in the bottom half; Anchors walked, scored with 2 out on an error at 3rd.  OU’s run top 2nd was Henson’s oneout homer.  The Sooners 3 runs in the third came off Williams 3-run homer.  Henson opened the 4th with a solo shot.  Henson singled in 2 runs in the 5th, and scored on an error to give Oklahoma the run-rule.  OU 33-5 (9-2). OSU 18-18 (2-6).

Texas Tech 5, Texas 2/  WP Cara Custer.  LP Blaire Luna.  Raven Richardson had a homer and 4 rbi’s to lead the Raiders in snapping their 9-game losing streak to Texas.  Bennett scored on Taylor’s rbi single in the Texas 1st; Hoagland scored for Texas in the 3rd onBennett’s double.  Richardson’s 3-run homer bottom 4th put the Red Raiders ahead.  Bottom 5th: Allen rbi single; Raiders loaded bases and Richardson drew an rbi walk.  Tech 32-9 (5-4).  Texas 32-5 (6-3).

Central Florida 2, Florida 0.  WP Mackenzie Audas.  LP Hannah Rogers.  Audas gave up 2 hits, striking out 11.  Rogers gave up 3 hits, striking ut 7.  Bottom 1st: Land singled; Perez walked; Sullivan doubled in b oth runs.  Audas struck out the side in the 2nd.  The Gators stranded 2 in the 3rd; and left runners on base in the 6th and 7th.  UCF 30-10.  Florida 34-5.

 UCLA 5, Stanford 2. WP Ally Carda.  LP Teagan Gerhart.  S Jessica Hall.  UCLA took the series, during which it belted nine homers.  Two out bottom 1st, Harrison walked, Bsates 2-run homer.  Bottom 2nd: Fox walked, stole 2nd, scored on Carda’s rbi single.  Caruso led the Bruins 4th with a home run.  Cardinal 6th: Winter singled, advanced on an illegal pitch, White singled, Winter scored on Hansen’s double; White out at home.  Hall relieved Carda.  Stanford scored its final run.  In the bottom, Carda singled, Schroeder walked; both runners advanced on a wild pitch; LaRosa singled in he final run.  UCLA 27-11 (4-5). Stanford 29-12 (3-9).

 Missouri 3, Northern Iowa 1.  WP Kristin Nottlemann.  LP J Hutcheson.  S Bailey Erwin.  Nottlemann struck out 7 in 5 innings.  UNI scored top 1st on Turner’s one-out homer.  The Tigers scored single runs in each of the next 3 innings.  Genovese scored in the 2nd on Sykes double.  Marstonscored in the 3rd on Hudson’s sac fly.  Genovese scored again in the 4th when Randazzo drew an rbi walk.  Missouri 31-6.  UNI 26-10.

Rutgers 7, Notre Dame 6 (9).  WP A.yssa Landrith.  LP Laura Winter.  Bottom 9th, one out, Harebedian doubled; Howard doubled to center, rbi.  After scoring 3 runs top 4th, the Irish led 5-0, but Rutgers scored 5 in the bottom to tie.  Rutgers took the lead with a run in the 5th, but Notre Daame tied with a run in the 7th.  Each team had 9 hits but each team also made 2 errors.  Before his game winning double, Howard had a 2-run homer.  Rutgers 17-21 (6-7).  UND 20-11 (4-1).

 Georgia 4, South Carolina 3.  Another game decided by the last at-bat.  WP Erin Arevalo. 11K.  LP Kristen Struett.  Wilson walked, scored on Razey rbi bottom 1st.  Slawson scored tying run, top 3rd, on Lackey rbi single.  Sandberg and Sito jacvked back to back homers, bottom 6th, for a 3-1 lead.But Hathorn tied the game with a 2-out, 2-run single top 7th,  Hubbard singled, and was sacrificed to 2nd by Couey; Swafford hbp; Wilson hit a game-winning double to center.   Georgia is 32-8.  South Carolina 23-19.  Georgia also won the other game in the DH, 8-3.

Arizona 4, Utah 2.  WP Kenzie Fowler.  LP Genarra Nielson.  S Shelby Babcock.  First conference sweep for the Wildcats.  Utah scored top 1st, Hoopliana scoring on Elliot’s double.  UofA took a 3-1 lead in the bottom.  Wilsonwalked, Suitos singled, DelPonte rbi single; two out, Arriola reached on an error, two runs scoring.  Utah narrowed the gap top 3rd when Hoopliana scotrf on Holm’s single.  Utah left the bases loaded top 6th; the Utes tried to capitalize on two Arizona errors.  .  Arizona scored a final run in the bottom; Arriola homered.  Arizona 28-10 (7-5).  Uah 23-15 (0-9).

Western Michigan 1, Michigan 0.  WP Meredith Whitney.  LP Sara Driesenga.  The perennial Big Ten champion Wolverines managed just 4 hits.  WMU had 5 but made them count.  Three of their 5 hits were recorded top 6th.  Shepeck singled with one out; two out, Buchanan singled; Shepeck scored on Barstad’s single.  Michigan went down in order in the 6th, but in the 7th, had a chance to win.  Two out, Sappingfield singled; Evans singled; Gardner fouled out.  UM is 27-11, Western Michigan is 18-12.

Washington and Oregon split series.  Their game Tuesday was suspended.  The Ducks scored a 5-3 win in the opener, its second decision in the series, the Huskies won the finale 6-3 (9) on a 3-run homer by pitcher Kaitlin Inglesby.
