WP Morgan Childers 3H, 12 K.  LP Jessica Cross
Childers struck out two of three batters in the first three innings.  USC scored bottom 3rd; after two strikeouts, Brasil singled, stole 2nd, scored on Chewning double.  Brasil doubled, scored on Chewning single bottom 5th.  Wells tagged Childers for a home run to open the 6th; Burkett singled, but Childers struck out two of the next three.  USC-Upstate 30-10, 7-6.  Kennesaw State 20-19. 6-5.

Chewning, Harris, Zauner (rbi) hit consecutive singles,  bottom 1st, but Hall lined into double play.  Burkett scored the first of four Kennesaw runs, top 4th on Cross sac fly; Moore slugged 3-run homer.  Burkett tacked on a 3-run homer in the 4th, Moore rbi single, 8-1.  Kennesaw added two in the 6th, rbi’s by Swanson, Kulk.   Upstate’s offense finally got back into the game with a run bottom 6th, Harris leadoff home run.

Bruins scored 6 in 1st, 5 in 2nd, 1 in 3rd — 12 hits.  With one out, top 1st, M Harrison walked, scored on A Harrison’s double; Yudin walked, and that was the night for starter Demore; Paige Hall relieved.  Bases loaded, Camuso rbi walk; Dolan rbi single; DiSalvatore rbi double.  Next inning, bases loaded again, no outs, Dyer relieved, Murray scored first of five Bruin runs on Shull single.  DiSalvatore singled in two runs; M Harrison sac fly.  A Harrison doubled, but DiSalvatore was out at home.  In the bottom, Brenner walked, Kutz singled, the only Beaver hit, both were stranded.  UCLA scored final run in 3rd: Burney one-out homer.  UCLA 28-9, 2-5.  Oregon State 21-19, 2-5.

Each team had 7 hits, but Huskies created 9 runs while Ducks stranded eight.  UW 2nd: Wright reached on error at 3rd, stole 2nd; Stuart singled, Fagaly lined out, Wright scored on passed ball.  Huskies 3rd: Salling walked, Fleischman in to run; scored on rbi double by Lawrie, who scored on rbi double by Williams.  Ducks racked 2 runs in 4th: Fuiava doubled ahead of Chambers 2-run homer.  Ducks left two.  UW led 3-2 until 7th when they scored 6 runs.  With bases loaded, Lawrie drew rbi walk.  Williams singled in two runs.  Wright jacked 3-run homer.  Oregon 7th: Bryant singled but was stranded.  The teams began the game tied for 1st with 5-1 records.  Washington now 34-3, 6-1.  Oregon 29-7, 5-2.

WP Kenzi Fowler, 3-hitter, 8k.  LP Teagan Gerhart 2H
Stanford 4 hits, Arizona 3.  Each team stranded 3 runners in first two innings.  Wildcats racked 3 runs, bottom 3rd.  One out, Schutzler walked, stole 2nd; two out, Chambers doubled, rbi; Del Ponte smacked 2-run home run.  Ashley Chinn relieved Gerhart, gave ukp 2 walks but got out of the inning without further scoring.  Cardinal 5th: Hassman, Haber walked.  Hansen doubled, rbi, Hassman scored but Haber was out at home.  Koplitz homered to start the Stanford 6th, Neill walked advanced on sac bunt, but Fowler struck out next two batters.  3-2.  Wildcats loaded bases bottom 6th; no score.  Hassman singled to open the Cardinal 7th but was stranded.  Arizona 33-7.  Stanford 30-7.

Bottom 1st: Rogers reached on error at short, Boyd walked, two outs advanced runners, Castillo singled, rbi.  ASU 1-0.  Cal tied top 2nd: Ziegenhirt led off with homer to left field.  Bottom half: Sun Devils left bases loaded, after losing Meunz on pick and Donnenwirth K.  ASU left two more in 3rd.  Double play ended ASU bid in 4th.  Score knotted until 5th when E. Reid homered, Cal 2-1.  E. Reid scored final Cal run top 7th on Thomas single.  ASU 35-7, 4-3.  California 31-11, 2-5.  

Pacific Coast

Seattle swept Weber State 10-8, 10-3

WP Kylie Flannery.  LP Anna Bertrand.  UVU moved into tie for first place with this win, but fell back with  loss in nightcap.

Meghan Carta hit two home runs, one a grand slam as Minutewomen routed Huskies in seven.  U Mass had 12 hits, scored last five runs top 7th.  The last seven runs were charged to relief pitcher Adelman.  Carta had six rbi, Serio 2, Normandin one.
