Valpo regained lead with 2, top 2nd, DeBruzzi led with home run, Marinec tripled, scored on Brown double. Irish tied in bottom, after Lagesse relieved McGee, Fleury scored with two out on Johnson single. Phalen scored on Marinec double to break tie in 5th, 5-4, but Irish came back with two bottom 6th on Jorgensborg and Maldonado singles. Valpo upped the ante with a run top 7th; with two on, Bowe relieved Brittany O’Donnell. Bridwell scored tying run on Strickland single.
