Minutewomen scored 6 bottom 3rd.  Normand led with double, scored on Magill single, Reeves singled, Bettencourt singled, bases loaded; Carta rbi walk; Serio rbi walk; Libby rbi single, Rogers rbi groundout, Williams rbi sac fly.  Rhode Island loaded bases top 4th (hbp, 2 walks) and scored two runs.  U Mass matched that output in the bottom half on Bettencourt’s 2-run homer.  In the 6th, Reeves tripled, scored on Bettencourt single.  U Mass 12 hits to 2.  U Mass 30-7-1.  Rhode Island 17-27.

U Mass remains unbeaten in A-10.  Libby slugged 2-run HR bottom 2nd.  Double steal in 4th plated final UM run.  Rhode Island scored top 7th; Wilson singled, advanced on error at 2nd, scored with two out on error at short.

Bottom 2nd: after pinch-runner Albers was caught stealing, Burns singled, scored when Koutz reached on error at short.  Cardinal notched 3 runs in 4th: Burns singled, Hassman singled with two out; Haber doubled down left field line, 2 rbi; Hansen singled to center, rbi.  SJS scored top 6th; McConnell led with double, Shanks in to run; two outs later, Hawkins reached on error at 3rd (SJS made 3 errors, Stanford 2), Shanks scored.

Caira won her second game of day.  Top 1st; Watts walked, scored on Grant double; Grant scored on wild pitch, Syracuse 2-0.  That lead held until the 5th when the Orange tacked on four runs.  Gibbs and Kuwik each hit a 2-run homer.  Akamine walked one but struck out 3 top 7th. The Lady Lions scored bottom 7th; Long singled, advanced on error, scored on wild pitch.  Syracuse 27-20.  Penn State 28-18.

Illinois State racked three home runs off Brown, snapping Blue Demons 8-game winning streak.  Kay homered to open ILS 2nd.  Bottom 3rd: Nelson singled, with two out, Kay jacked her second homer in as many at-bats, 3-0.  DePaul scored in 4th: consecutive singles by Plese. Voss and Yniguez to start the inning; but Plese was out at home on Heteniak fielder’s choice; Voss scored on Dodd sac fly.  In bottom half, Current homered. In 5th, Nelson hbp, Olson rbi double.  DePaul 29-15.  Illinois State 28-14.

JSU tied game at 4-all top 5th, but Auburn came back with 4 in bottom half.  JSU had single run top 7th. Auburn’s Krista Clyde had 4 rbi, 3 on a bases-clearing double in the 5th.  Harrison had solo homer for Auburn.   O’Neal, Johnson and Ledbetter had rbi’s fpr KSU, Johnson and Ledbetter homered.
Auburn 26-23.  Jacksonville State 23-17.
