After shaky first inning in which UTEP loaded bases on error and two HBP, Wildcats scored 4 runs, bottom 1st.  Schutzler, Arredondo singled, both scored on Chambers single.  Del Ponte homered, 4-0.  Arriola homered in 2nd.  Fowler gave up two walks in 3rd; both stranded.  Arredondo and Fowler singled in 3rd, also stranded. UofA reached run-rule threshhold in 4th; Kirker, Arriola and Lastrapes drew consecutive walks; pinch runner Tikey (Kirker) was picked off; Schutzler walked; with two out, Chambers drew rbi walk; Curran relieved; Lastrapes scored on passed ball; Del Ponte was issued the sixth walk of the at-bat; Fowler reached on error, Schutzler scored; 3 runs, no hits.  To punctuate her performance, Fowler struck out the side in the UTEP 5th

Wildcats, who outhit Miners 11-4,  scored 8 runs bottom 1st.  Lastrapes walked, Schutzler, Arredondo singled, loading bases.  Consecutive rbi’s by Chambers, Del Ponte, Arriola.  Koria slugged an 0-1 pitch, 3-run homer, 6-0.  Krienitz relieved.  Buchanan bunt single, Lastrapes 2-run HR.   Chambers opened bottom 2nd with a walk; Del Ponte homered.  Auger relieved and stopped the scoring.  Arizona 32-4.  UTEP 26-14.
