Vasquez relieved Repka.   Schneider scored on Vock’s single.  Missouri added two each in the 5th and 6th.  Missouri is now 40-9.  Bayklor 26-21.

The Jayhawks are in the Big 12 cellar but they pushed the Sooners hard, limiting them to 6 hits.  OU scored bottom 3rd.  Florses walked, Shults singled; Sallis in to run, stole 2nd; Vandever struck out; Nix reached on fielder’s choice, Flores scoring.  Nix stole 2nd; Ricketts walked.  Sallis scored on Norris’ rbi groundout.  Oklahoma 38-10, 12-3.  Kansas 19-31, 1-14.

Not a pitching contest; teams scored 16 runs on 24 hits.  Teams were tied 3-3 until TAMU scored 3 runs top 5th; two on Reynolds single after Merlich relieved Jacobs, who was responsible for the runners.  Tech tried to close the gap with Hall’s 2-run homer bottom 6th. The Aggies scored another trio in the 7th; Orsak rbi single, Schwirtlich 2- run single.  The Aggies had a solo by Kliesing; Schwirtlich, Shannon, Reynolds each had 2 rbi.  Hall led Tech 3-4, a home run, 4 rbi.  Texas A&M 38-13, 9-6.  Texas Tech 35-14, 7-10.

The Sun Devils could muster just two hits, while the Cardinal were swinging from the knob, launching a 10-hit attack which netted 4 runs bottom 1st.  Haber and Hansen singled, Koplitz walked, bags full, no outs.  Rich singled to center, 2 rbi.  Neill singled, rbi.  With one out, runners advanced on a wild pitch.  Van Zandt singled, rbi.  Elliott relieved Parlich.  Becerra lined into double play.  Hassman walked to open the Cardinal 2nd; with two out, Koplitz walked again.  Rich doubled, 2 more rbi.  Boyd singled, Donnenwirth walked in ASU 4th, and were left on base.  Becerra reached on an error, scored in 4th on Hansen sac fly. Cardinal reached run rule in 5th; Koplitz, Rich singled, Burns walked, bases loaded, Van Zandt singled.  In Pac 10, Arizona State is 38-11, 7-7.  Stanford is 32-13, 5-9.  The teams play again on Sunday.

Third-ranked Arizona took advantage of some late California miscues and won its first extra-inning game of the season, 4-2, in a nine-inning pitchers’ duel with the No. 13 Bears Saturday. Fowler
(29-5) struck out 11 and scattered seven hits in the complete game victory. Arioto (17-7), matched her pitch for pitch through eight, but was given the hook after Arizona broke the tie in the ninth.  Arizona improved to 40-7 and 10-4 in Pac-10 play. Cal dropped to 35-15 and 5-9. Through seven scoreless innings, Brittany Lastrapes hit a one-out double in the eighth then moved to third when Lauren Schutzler reached on an error. K’Lee Arredondo hit a grounder to second baseman Shannon Thomas, but Lastrapes beat the throw home on a close play to put Arizona on the board. Schutzler, meanwhile, was caught in a rundown on the play. Brigette Del Ponte singled off the glove of Arioto but Lini Koria struck out to end the threat. Jace Williams tied the game with a home run to open the bottom half, but Fowler got two strikeouts and a groundout to end the inning. Arizona opened up a 4-1 lead in the ninth. Baillie Kirker drew a walk and Kristen Arriola singled to left before Karissa Buchanan advanced them with a sacrifice bunt. Arioto, not wanting to deal with Lastrapes, issued an intentional walk to load the bases. Schutzler came through with a hard grounder that Thomas booted at second, allowing pinch runner Becca Tikey to score. Arredondo drew a bases-loaded walk, then Arioto was relieved by  Jolene Henderson. Stacie Chambers hit a sac fly to score Lastrapes, but Del Ponte struck out.  Fowler allowed a two-out RBI single in the bottom half, but forced a groundout to close the game.

The Huskies struck quickly, scoring 5 bottom 1st.  Pohlman led with a double, Williams jacked a one-out 2-run homer. Wright followed immediately with a solo shot.  Fagaly walked with two out; Stuart doubled, and Hall relieved Dyer.  Smith singled in two runs.  Fleischman hbp, Pohlman walked, filling the sacks.  Salling forced Smith at 3rd.  Holladay relieved Hall to pitch the 2nd.  UW racked four more runs.  Williams doubled; with two out, Fagaly rbi single; Stuart belted a 2-run homer.  Smith followed with a solo.  9-0.  Washington 39-5.  Oregon State is 22-26.

The Bruins went yard four times.  Bottom 1st: A Harrison 2-run homer.  Bottom 2nd: Camuso walked, Burney homered.  Endicott relieved Skillingstad.  Bates singled, scored on DiSalvatore triple.  5-0.  Bates doubled in 2 runs.  Rumfelt relieved Endicott.  Bottom 4th: Langenfeld walked, A Harrison hit her second 2-run home run.  Kivett and Rumfelt put the Ducks on the board with solo homers top 5th.  UCLA scored one in the bottom to reach run-rule; DiSalvatore homered.  UCLA 45-9, 9-5.  Oregon 31-12, 7-7.

The Tide started off where the first game ended — Boccia slugging a 2-run homer bottom 1st.  With two out in the Bama 3rd, Lunceford hbp; Locke singled, Conley jacked a 3-run homer.  5-0. Dawson homered.  Davis and Braud singled.  Hosfield relieved Renfro.  Boccia walked, loading the bases, Morgan was hbp, rbi.  7-0.   Teams took turns stranding single runners until the Vols 6th Huff reached on a fielder’s choice, and scored on Gibson’s double.   Trailing 7-1, Tennessee unlimbered its bats; Brown and Hammond singled, Dunne to pitch.  Chavanne struck out; Dotson singled, Spigner looked at a third strike; after 3 runs scored, Brown, Hammond, Grieve, Huff belted a 2-run homer scoring Dotson. 7-6.  Gibson looked at a third strike.  Alabama 42-9, 20-4.  Tennessee 38-11, 15-7.
