2010 NCAA Women’s College World Series – Community Events and Activities
The 2010 NCAA Women’s College World Series is coming to ASA Hall of Fame Stadium June 3 through 9. This is the 20thyear Oklahoma City has hosted this premier college softball event, and there are many opportunities for local residents to participate!
NCAA Fan Festival – FREE TO PUBLIC:
Don’t miss the excitement of the ultimate softball fan festival in Oklahoma City! Step up to the plate or into the circle for some friendly competition. Enjoy exclusive Women’s College World Series giveaways, music, autograph sessions, photo opportunities, softball merchandise and so much more. Admission to the Fan Festival is FREE and open to the public June 3 to 9 in front of ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

o Fans can commemorate their experience at the 2010 NCAA Women’s College World Series with a unique photo keepsake from AT&T. Fans will be able to support their favorite team or player by creating their own customized poster to display during the games.

o Softball fans can live out a dream as they step into the batter’s box of an ASA Hall of Fame Stadium replica and swing for the fences. Every softball fan will be able to try hitting a home run as the pitching machine delivers a wiffle ball right over the strike zone.

NCAA Youth Clinics – FREE TO YOUTH 8 – 16 years old:
Participate in the Women’s College World Series Youth Clinics hydrated by vitaminwater® revive!
Free youth softball clinics will be held during the 2010 NCAA Women’s College World Series Saturday, June 5, and Sunday, June 6 at the Putnam City Optimist Club located at 8601 N.W. 50th in Bethany, Oklahoma. Pre-registration is available at www.NCAA.com/wcws.
The vitaminwater® revive NCAA® Youth Clinics are a community outreach program that connects youth ages 8 to 16 with the Women’s College World Series and provides resources designed to have a lasting impact. Participants will receive sport instruction from NCAA coaches and student-athletes and gain valuable information on fitness, healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship. The clinics also feature a session for parents and guardians with information on recruiting, academics and eligibility to be an NCAA student-athlete.
· The participant age range is 8 to16 years old
· Parents are invited to attend
· NCAA coaches, staff, athletics administrators and student-athletes will serve as clinic staff
· There is no cost to attend the clinics

Pack the Park / Oklahoma City Fan Appreciation Night – Monday, June 7
On Monday, June 7, the NCAA invites fans to Pack the Park for Oklahoma City Fan Appreciation Night at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium. The evening will feature gate giveaways for the first 5,000 fans entering the stadium — including an NCAA WCWS rally towel and a WCWS fan. Plus, enjoy a Family Four Pack deal (including four hot dogs, chips and drinks) for $20 as the NCAA celebrates the WCWS in Oklahoma City for 20 years! It’s a night full of special giveaways and in-game prizes. The NCAA invites Oklahoma City to “Pack the Park” for a night of fun for the greatest fans of softball!
StrikeOut Cancer Night presented by AT&T – Tuesday, June 8
Attend the WCWS on Tuesday, June 8, at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium for StrikeOut Cancer Night presented by AT&T. This evening at the WCWS will help raise funds for cancer research and those affected by cancer. The NCAA will donate $1 of every ticket sold for Tuesday’s game to the Oklahoma Region of the American Cancer Society. Fans are encouraged to wear their American Cancer Society Relay Survivor shirt or pink to be recognized during the game. Bring your family and friends for this special evening to StrikeOut Cancer.
The ceremonial first pitch for the WCWS game will be thrown by NCAA student-athlete Megan Melott, a sophomore at University of Tulsa who is a cancer survivor.
Plus, visit the American Cancer Society’s tent in the NCAA Women’s College World Series Fan Festival from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
FREE Fan Giveaways:
The first fans through the entry gates of ASA Hall of Fame Stadium for the first session each day of the WCWS will receive a complimentary giveaway. Fans must have a WCWS ticket to receive the item. All items are courtesy of the NCAA and subject to change.

Tickets to the NCAA Women’s College World Series are on sale at www.NCAA.com/wcws or by calling 800/745-3000. All-session tickets are currently on sale starting at $80. Single-session tickets go on sale Monday, May 31.
Tickets may also be purchased in person at the ASA Hall of Fame Box Office, which opens at the following times for the WCWS:

Several no-hassle parking options are available:
Daily Parking – $15
A limited number of parking spaces in the stadium parking lot are available on a daily basis. No free re-entry is permitted once you leave the facility. No exceptions.
Offsite Parking with Shuttle – FREE
Fans may choose to park for free at the Remington Park Raceway parking lot, located just off Northwest 50th Street, ¼ mile west of Hall of Fame Stadium. There will be ample signs to direct fans to Remington. A free shuttle bus will take fans to and from the stadium. The shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes.
METRO Transit has more than 25 interconnecting routes, including three express routes, to take you all over the Oklahoma City metro area.
