Florida def Alabama 8-4
WP Lauren Haeger.  LP Leslie Jury. Florida scored bottom 1st; one out, Merrittsingled, Tofft singled, Haeger walked; two out, Little drew a bases-loaded walk.  Bama managed single runners in each of the first three innings, nothing in the 4th.  Gators 4th: Schwarz and Little singled; Medina sacrificed; Stewart singled to 3rd, rbi; Merritt singled in 2 runs; Florida 4-0.  Richard opened the Tide 5th with a single, their second hit; Hays followed with a single to left; Hawkins beat out a single to 1st, no cover; bases loaded; Braud singled off the pitcher’s glove, rbi; a second run scored on Iamurri’s groundout; McCleney struck out for the second time; Hawkins scored on a wild pitch, 4-3. Fitchner singled in the tying run. Hunt grounded to short.  Bama had 4 runs on 5 hits.  Gators 5th: pinch hitter Gammel hbp; Little forced Gammel. Schwarz flied deep to center; Fuller flied to 2nd Hunt racing into right field. Florida inserted Lauren Haeger to pitch the 6th.  Bama 6th: Lafaele, whose bomb helped defeat the Aggies last night, struck out. Richard whose single started the Tide rally in the 5th, fanned. Hays grounded out. Pinch hitter Castro walked; Stewart reached on an error by Lafaele at 1st. Merritt jacked a 3-run homer off the left field foul pole 7-4.  Lauren Sewell relieved Jury.  Tofft walked. Haeger walked. Gammell sacrificed. Little brought in a run on a foul mout. 8-4. Schwarz struck out. Top 7th: Bama dodged the bullet in Game One; can they do it again? Hawkins grounded to 2nd. Braud grounded to 3rd. Iamurri singled to left. McCleney grounded to Haeger.  Alabama would not repeat as champion of the SEC tournament.

#9 LSU def by #23 Georgia 7-0

WP Rachele Fico  LP Chelsea Wilkinson.  A possible opportunity for LSU bottom 1sr was snuffed when Bell hit into a double play. Georgia had 2 on with singles top 2nd but Iosefa, who had singled, was out trying to steal 3rd. Fico struck out two.  Top 3rd: Browne led with a solo inside the left field foul pole. Griffin walked, and ilson reached on an error, but LSU doused the fire. Bottom 3rd: Heyward walked, no advance.  After 3, Georgia had 5 baserunners, LSU 2. Dawgs stranded two in 4th. Two out in bottom, the Tigers posted just their second hit, a single by Simmons off Glasco’s glove at 1st but she was stranded when Kloss struck out for the second time.  Swafford led the Dawgs 5th with a single to right center, bringing up Wilson who slammed a hit off Wray’s glove at 3rd, base hit. LSU had trouble handling the ball, two charged errors, other missed opportunities like Wray who should have caught that line drive into her glove. Glasco grounded to 1st but moved the runners into scoring position. Puailoa sliced a singl to right which Falcon couldn’t handle, 2 rbi. Puailoa was out, left early. Iosefa struck out. LSU 5th: Falcon, Wray and Houston down in order.  Sito drew a walk to start the Georgia 6th; Olney sacrificed, Browne, who was 2-2 with a homer, struck out.  Griffin grounded to short but Bell’s throw sailed high over 1st and Sito scored, 4-0. Tigers 6th: one out, Andrews slashed a single past 1st; Blades fanned. Bell singled hard to left. Simmons flied deep to right. Top 7th: Wilson walked; Glasco singled over 2nd; the 9th Georgia hit; a foul ball hit by Puailoa fell between three fielders out of bounds, she then singled to right.  Bases loaded no outs. Iosefa was hbp,rbi, 5-0. Sito grounded past Fico, rbi. 6-0. Iosefa was out at 2nd on the fielder’s choice. Sito was caught stealing, but a run scored on the throwdown, 7-0. Olney struck out.  LSU 7th: Kloss out 6-3. Falcon hit to 1st.  Wray singled up the middle, the fifth LSU hit. Boulet in to run. Houston fouled out to right. 7-0.  Georgia will meet Florida on Friday.

WP Chelsea Thomas LP Kimmy Beasely.  Bottom 1st: Crane led with a single; Hudson brought home the first run with a sac fly.  Randazzo hbp; Sykes singled to center, rbi; Roth flied, Genovese grounded to 3rd. Canfield recorded the first Arkansas hit, a single with 2 out top 2nd; Gelle hit back to the pitcher.  The Tigers attacked again in the 3rd; Marston singled; one out, Randazzo doubled off the wall in left; Sykes tripled off the wall in center, 2 rbi; Roth hit a sac fly, rbi; two out, Genovese doubled over 3rd. 5-0 Missouri.   Bottom 5th: one out, Sykes bounced another double off the fence, Roth jacked a 2-run homer. Chelsea Cohen relieved Beasley.  Genovese walked; Moore reached on an error at 3rd; two out, Crane rbi, 8-0. Run rule

Tennessee def South Carolina 5-0.
WP Ellen Renfroe  LP Aubrey Broyles.  The Vols wasted no time displaying their credentials.  Chavanne beat out a hit to 3rd, scored on Gibson’s off the wall double; Gibson scored on a catcher errant throw; Shipman flied to left; Dotson cracked a solo over center; 3-0.  Vols 4th: Chavanne and Gibson led with singles.  Sarratt relieved Broyles. Shipman singled, Chavanne scored, Gibson out at 3rd. Dotson walked. Tarango whiffed; Brown hit back to Sarratt. 4-0. Struett led the Gamecock 4th with a sharp single past short, only the second hit.  Hawkins fanned; Masters fouled out to 1st; Dillon singled to left; Gonzales popped to 1st. Two stranded. Vols 4th: one out, Akamine singled to right; Lewis laid down a 2-foot bunt that stopped just inside the foul line; Chavanne whiffed; Gibson, with 2 rbi on the books, walked, loading the bases; Shipman flied to center.  Vols 5th: Dotson doubled; scored on Tarango’s sac fly, 5-0.  Top 6th Gamecocks Hathorn led with a single; Struett grounded to short; Hawkins fanned; Masters grounded out, no advance.  Vols 6th: Lewis grounded out; Chavanne out 4-3; Gibson walked; Shipman flied out.  Top 7th: Dillon popped high to Gibson at 2nd; Gonzales out 3-4 on a bunt. Yeske fanned.  Tennessee advances to the semifinalsto play Missouri.
