THE GAME:  Oklahoma 5, Tennessee 0
UT 1st: Chavanne fanned; Dotson whiffed; Gibson struck out.  Ricketts struck out the side.
OU 1st: Chamberlain (29 homers) popped to short. Casey fanned. Pendley, who has been struggling, worked to 3-2, grounded to short.
UT 2nd: Shipman out 4-3. Tarango  fanned; Davin at 3-2 struck out.
OU 2nd: Ricketts popped high to 2nd baseman Gibson. Williams fanned; Shults out 1 to 3.
UT 3rd: Brown hit back to Ricketts; Akamine back to Ricketts; Lewis whiffed.
OU 3rd: Martinez struck out; Parsons walked, the first baserunner for either team; Turang grounded to Gibson at 2nd; Chamberlain doubled to left center; Parsons held at 3rd; Casey at 3-2 fouled out to 3rd.
UT 4th: Chavanne struck out; Dotson grounded to Vest at short; Gibson out to Pendley at 3rd, 5-3.
OU 4th: Pendley struck out; Ricketts beat out a single to Chavanne at 3rd; Williams struck out; Ricketts stole 2nd; Williams fanned; Shults walked; Martinez lined to Chavanne at 3rd.
UT 5th: Shipman at 3-0 walked, the first Vol baserunner; Tarango up, Shipman was picked off 1st by Shults; Tarango walked; Burroughs running; Davin at 3-2 walked,three in a row; Brown  hit back to Ricketts, 1-6-3 double play.
OU 5th: Parsons fanned; Turang whiffed; Chamberlain struck out; Renfroe had struck out the side.
UT 6th: Akamine singled up the middle, the Vols first hit; Hammond running; Lewis struck out; Chavanne became Ricketts ninth K; Dotson put out at 1st.
OU 6th: Casey  ground out’ Pendley and Ricketts sreuck out.
UT 7th: Gibson out 4-3; Shipman struck out; Tarango flied to left. Each pitcher had 10K.
OU 7th: Williams out 1-3. Shults out 6-3. Martinez flied to left.  OU 2 hits, UT 1>
UT 8th: Davin reached on an error by Vest at short; Brown out 5-3, good play by Pendley; Akamine walked on four pitches; Gaffin at 3-2 struck out;  Chavanne who has struck out three times lined out to short.
OU 8th: Parsons grounded to 3rd.  Turang grounded to short.  Chamberlain out 3-4.
UT 9th: Dotson out 6-3; Gibson back to Ricketts; Shipman  fanned.
OU 9th: Casey singled to left, the third OU hit.  Pendley, Big 12 player of the year,  reached on an error at 1st. Ricketts struck out for the second time. Williams up, runners advanced on a passed ball; Williams given a pass, creating a force at any base. Bases loaded, Vest in to run, Shults smacked a 2-2 pitch, fielder’s choice at home, Casey out. Martinez still facing bases loaded struck out, OU again leaving bases loaded.  Renfroe now had 13 K, Ricketts 11.
UT 10th: Tarango walked on a 3-2 count, Ricketts fifth; Davin hit into a fielder’s choice at 2nd; Brown up, Davin stole 2nd; Brown at 3-2  hit back to Ricketts, Davin at 3rd, Akamine –given a pass, setting up a force, Lewis  struck out. Ricketts 12 K.
OU 10th Parsons bounced to Renfroe; Turang singled up the middle; Chamberlain, who could end this game with one swing of her powerful bat, popped to left; Casey up, Tuurang stole 2nd  but Casey popped to 1st.
UT 11: Top of the order.  Chavanne (0-4) out 6-3; Dotson base hit in front of the plate; Gibson singled to center, a ball the diving Martinez couldn’t handle; Shipman jacked a first pitch 3-run homer. The orange-clad Tennessee crowd went wild.  Tarango out 1-3. Davin singled to left, the fifth hit off Ricketts. Brown hit into fielder’s choice.
OU 11th:  Pendley struck out for the third time.  Ricketts went all the way to 2nd when her very high fly ball  dropped in for a double; Williams doubled to center, rbi; Shults grounded to 1st;  Martinez slapped a triple to center, Williams scored, 3-2; Parsons tied the game with a double to center, but was out trying to stretch a triple.  The momentum which seemed a few minutes ago to have a Volunteer edge, had shifted to the Sooners, thanks to the bottom of their order.  OU now had 8 hits to 5.
UT 12th: Akamine popped to 2nd.  Lewis hit back to Ricketts. Chavanne struck out for the fourth time.  Ricketts had 13K.
OU 12th: Having dodged an orange bullet, the Sooner crowd was cheering. Turang doubled to left.  Chamberlain jacked a 2-run shot inside the left field foul pole, 5-3, her 30th , none bigger..
