One out, bottom 1st, Warwick on base, Casey walks; Bowering singles, rbi; Casey scores on Forkin fielder’s choice.  Top 2nd: Perez scores.  Bottom 3rd: Porter hits second single; Porter forced by Warwick; two out, Bowering singles, rbi.

Bottom 4th: White leads off with homer. 

Bottom 5th: two out, Godfrey singles; Forkin jacks 2-run homer.

Top 6th: Jimenez leads with double; one out, Riera singles, rbi.Cox and Porter single; Webber hits 2-run single; two out, Forkin singles; Weaver walks, loading the bases; White singles, rbi, Australia wins by run-rule.  Australia advances to play Team Canada.

Through three innings, one hit, by Japan’s Okubo.  Ueno, with an unrivalled dominance over USA at the 2008 Olympics, the 2012 Canadian Open, and 2013 World Cup, had 4 Ks in those three innings.  Ueno pitched two no-hitters on Saturday.
Top 4th: Moultrie struck out; Chavanne struck out; Gibson grounded to 3rd.
Bottom 4th: Hayashi singled; Mine singled, runners at the corners; Okubo was given a pass loading the bases; Cheridan Hawkins relieved Moore.  Kuniyoshi flied to center, runners held; Nagayoshi grounded to 2nd.
Top 5th: Chidester single, first USA hit; Arioto sacrificed; Taylor in to run; Hudson singled, runners at the corners; Freeman pinch hits for Ziegenhirt, Freeman struck out. Salvarola up, Taylor caught stealing.
Bottom 5th: Moore returns to the circle, Ziegenhirt back at catcher.  Ono strikes out; Ichiguchi  singles, advances to 2nd on error by Moore; Kawano given a pass; Nishiyama walked, loading the bases; Hayashi singled, 2 rbi; Mine singled, rbi, 3-0. Okubo hbp;  Sara Nevins relieved Moore with bases loaded, one out.  Kuniyoshi hit into fielder’s choice forcing Okubo, Hayashi scores 4-0. Nagayoshi singled on a 3-2 count, Mine scores, 5-0. Ono, another 3-2 count, flies out to 1st.
Top 6th: Trailing 5-0, Salvarola grounded to 2nd; Martinez grounded to short; Moultrie struck out, Ueno’s 8th K.
Bottom 6th: Aimee Creger relieved Nevins in the USA circle.  Ichiguchi popped to short; Kawano walked; Nishiyama  forces Kawano at 2nd. Hayashi struck out.
Top 7th: Chavanne struck out; Gibson struck out; Taylor flied to right.  Japan wins 5-0.
Ueno had 10 Ks; the Japanese ace has given up just two hits in her last 21 innings.

Japan, the defending champion,  advances to tomorrow’s Gold medal game.

Team USA must now wait to see who wins tonight’s late game between Canada and Australia.  The USA will play that winner tomorrow to advance to the Gold Medal game against Japan.
