Premier Fastpitch Tournament
A reported 134 girls fastpitch teams have assembled in Orange County CA for the second annual Premier Girls Fastpitch tournament — 68 in the highschool division, which includes many of the most competitive teams in the country; 64 in the 16U division, and 42 in the 14U division.
A number of teams earned returning berths in the inaugural 2010 tourney, the balance qualifying through 13 tournaments held around the country.
Starting with pool play at 8am Monday, competition will be held at four complexes – Huntington Beach, Harvard and Bill Barber parks, and Fountain Valley. Bracket play in the double elimination tourney begins Wednesday for all divisions, culminating with championship matches on Saturday at the stadium in Bill Barber Park. Highschool division games will be played at Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley.
The elite highschool division includes 29 teams from California; 9 from Texas; 5 from Illinois, 4 from Arizona; 3 from Florida, 2 each from Georgia, Kansas, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington; and one team each from Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Maryland and Oklahoma.
Like 2010, the 2011 tournament is expected to draw college coaches and scounts from every NCAA division, concentrated in Division I.

PGF Directors Dan Hay and Gary Haning have announced a long term agreement which includes adding Bill Conroy as an Owner/Director of the Premier Girls Fastpitch and Surf City Tourneys. Gary Haning, OC Batbusters, will continue to provide viable leadership and be the face of the PGF. Dan Hay, Victory USA, will continue to be responsible for overseeing all tournament and corporate operations, which includes securing all venues. Bill Conroy, Beverly Bandits, is responsible for sales and marketing, which includes TV contracts, Media and Sponsor agreements.
Announcements in regards to future expansion of the PGF Board of Directors, which currently include Gary Haning, Dan Hay, Bill Conroy and Bruce Richardson – So Cal Athletics, will be for forth coming. We will also have future announcements of the Committee Membership staff and further media expansion plans.
