A Day to Celebrate — and Remember
From Valley Forge to Vietnam, from Iwo Jima to Iraq, from
Tripoli to the Twin Towers, Americans have paid the
Ultimate price to preserve our freedom. Soldiers, sailors,
Airmen, firemen and police, they responded to the call. Many
Will never come back. Today, let us remember those who have
Fallen, and those who stand ready to preserve our way of life –
In far off conflicts, in the firehouse and precinct station – they
Are there for us – and we should honor and thank them.
