After the morning games, four teams remained in contention.

In Bracket A, Corona Angels K defeated Choppers 2-1.  Firecrackers defeated Choppers 3-0 in an elimination game.  Now, Firecrackers play undefeated Corona Angels and must beat the Angels twice to meet the winner of Bracket B.

In Bracket B, Batbusters DM defeated The Next Level 7-0.  TNL then eliminated Texas Glory 4-2, and now will play Batbusters whom they must defeat twice to meet the winner of Bracket A for the ESPN Rise championship.

Angels scored bottom 1^st; Arizmende scored on Urness double.  Batbusters tied score, top 2^nd, on Jelenicki home run.  Batbusters moved in front with 2 runs, top 3^rd; Sommer singled; Bennett singled; Mandy Perez the 2^nd baseman who has verballed to Arizona doubled in a run, and Bennett scored on Spaulding’s sac fly, 3-1 Batbusters.

 Top 5^th: speedster Heidi Velk (Virginia) beat out a hit, and stole 2^nd.  Bennett sacrificed Velk to 3^rd.  Perez grounded to 1^st, rbi.  4-1. 

 Angels had no base runners in 4^th or 5^th. Top 6^th: Tautalafua and Moore singled; Angels change pitchers, Taylor Langdon.  Palian at bat, runners advance on wild pitch.  Palian infield hit to 3^rd, no play, loading bases.  Sommer singled to right, rbi.  5-1.  Knapp struck out.  Bennett reached on infield hit, rbi, 6-1.  Perez ground out 1-3.

 Angels in bottom 6^th and Batbusters in top 7^th went down in order.

Bottom 7^th: Batbusters three outs away from championship.  Arizdmendi fouled out to 3^rd.  Urness reached on an error by Perez at 2^nd.  Howard in to run. Gaffin struck out.  Gonzales worked a 3-2 count, then walked. Solomon jacked a three-run home run, narrowing the score to 6-4.  Cordova grounded out to Perez at 2^nd.

The Batbusters won the 16 U Division of the ESPN Rise National Championship.
