Worth Firecrackers 8, Beverly Bandits 0 (5) The Firecrackers scored 4 runs in the 2nd enroute to punching their ticket to the title game.  With 2 out, White bunted for a hit, then stole 2nd.  Chamberlain singled, Lahners drove in 2 runs.  Taukelaho doubled in a run; Tarango singled in the fourth run.  A Chamberlain single and Lahners double and Taukelaho groundout produced 2 runs in the 4th.  Chamberlain closed out the game by run-rule with a 2-run homer in the 5th.  Tarango defeated Dorsey.

Batbusters 8, So Cal Athletics 2 .  The A’s led 2-1, before the Batbusters racked seven unanswered points with a barrage of four hokmers.  Mauga connected on two; Jelenicki and Spaulding had one each.  Floyd won, Gourley lost.

So Cal Athletics 5, Batbusters 4.  Forced into a “what if” game, the A’s broke a 1-1 tie with 3 runs in the 5th.  Mercado and Brown singled; Tautalafua homered.  Mercado hit a solo in the 6th.  Bottom 6th:  Takeda doubled, Jelenicki singled, Muaga jacked a 3-run homer.  Ramirez was the winning pitcher; Padilla, the third Batbuster hurler, lost.

Lady Magic 12, Corona Angels Marty 10 .  UCLA-bound Ally Carda won three games in a row to keep Lady Magic in contention, including this roller coaster ride which was surely one of the most emotion-packed games of the tournament.  The Angels scored 2 top 1st; fell behind, then took the lead 8-6, only to watch Magic score 6 runs in the 6th; an Angel rally in the 7th produced 2 more runs but Carda shut the door.  The first of three dropped third strikes and the first of many passed balls helped the Angels score twice in the 1st.  But, Lady Magic pounded away in the bottom half; Carda singled; Henderson homered with one out; Cordes walked, Jepperson homered; Garcia and Moore singled; Akey doubled, rbi; Carda walked; Moore rbi single.  Stephanie La Rosa, also bound for UCLA, put the Angels back in the game with a 2-run double.  The Angels closed to 6-5 in the 3rd, then La Rosa gave them the lead with a 2-run homer off Carda, who had relieved Wisdom in the 3rd.  The Angels tacked on another run on a failed pick to lead 8-6.  Lady Magic then racked another 6; an rbi double by Jeppeson, a 2-run double by Garcia, an rbi single by Wisdom, a 2-run single by Moore.  The 12-8 lead looked firm until Girard jacked a 2-run homer top 7th.  A hit batter and a dropped third strike put the tying runs on base, but Carda struck out Perez – with LaRosa in the on-deck circle.

Lady Magic 1, NW Bullets 0.  Carda, the winning pitcher, scored on bases-loaded walk.

Explosion 13, So Cal 3D 3.  3D led 3-0 after 4; Explosion ripped 5 runs in 5th and 8 in the 6th, with 7 players recording rbi’s.
