Triumph in Wichita. The Wichita State softball team (38-13) picked up its 10th straight victory and moved one step closer to becoming the first team in Shocker history to win 40 games in a season with a doubleheader sweep of UMKC (8-40) Wednesday afternoon at Adair Park in Independence, Mo. Sophomore first baseman Lisa Jones posted her second home run of the season, a three-run shot, on her way to a 3-for-3 performance in game two, with five RBI. Junior catcher Julie Darling also contributed in game two, going 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored.
