Nadia Taylor’s 2-run double gave the Longhorns the initial lead in the 1^st.  After a solo HR in the 2^nd by Courtney Moore, the Bulldogs tacked on four runs in the 3^rd; Jody Badonne’s single tied the game before Michelle Moses tagged a 3-4un homer.  Taylor’s 2-run HR in the 4^th narrowed the lead to 5-4.  Texas had two on in the 7^th but Lexy Bennett’s long ball was caught at the fence.

Thanks to a 4-run 3^rd inning, triggered by home runs fromHaber (2) and Hansen, the Cardinal seemed to be cruising, 6-2 after four, then the Vols answered with a 5-run 5^th. Vols: Grieve led with a HR; Huff rbi; Andrews drew a bases-loaded walk; Kajitani 2-run single.  Chinn relieved Teagn Gerhart.  Top 6^th: Ivy Renfro, who had relieved Cat Hosfield, retired two batters but Haber walked, stole 2^nd, Hansen given a pass; Rich drove in Haber with the tying run, 7-all. Burns doubled to lead the Cardinal 7^th.  Neill, who had an rbi earlier, worked a 3-2 count, walked.  Koutz sacrificed.  Van Zandt singled, loading the bases.  Haber drew an rbi walk, 8-7 Cardinal.  The first two Vols fanned; Kajitani grounded out to end the game.

Bottom 1^st, Huskies gave Lawrie solid foundation with 4 runs, including rbi by Salling, N Williams and Stuart.  Three consecutive walks led to two runs in the 2^nd, before Hannah Howell, in relief of Zinanti, struck out the side.  Salling scored on N Williams rbi in the 4^th.  Lawrie, who struck out the side in the 3^rd, had 8 Ks in the first four innings.Purcell-Fitu broke up Lawrie’s no-hit bid with a single in the 5^th.  With Salling and Lawrie at the corners in top 6^th (singles), N Williams walked, loading the bases, no outs.  Stuart singled in the eighth and final run.

Oregon, enjoying one of its best seasons, broke a scoreless tie with 4 runs in the 6^th.  Kivett scored on Burger’s single; Pappas doubled in Bryant and Williamson; The four runs were charged to Rebecca Arbino.  Moore, who had 11Ks through six innings, gave up a single in the 7^th but retired the other three batters for the win.
