Lauren Wlson had the only hit in the 3r d and was erased by a double play; O’Donnell fanned the other two batters.

The Bears loaded the bases top 1^st and staked a 3-0 lead.  Hanafin’s HR top 4^th, 4-0.  The Titans took three back in the bottom, scoring on a wild pitch and DeLeese’s 2-run single.  CSF took a 5-4 lead in th 4^th on Anderson’s two-out, two run double.  In the 5^th, Aragon reached on an error, scored on Tsuchiyama’s triple.  The Titans put the game away in the 6^th with Anderson’s 2-run home run to left center.

Baylor has had its struggles this season, falling out of the Top 25, but it put it all together against the nationally-ranked Bruins (#3).  TWesley opened the game with a triple, scored on sac fly.  Nieten drove in the Wesley sisters in a 3-run 3^rd.  Donna Kerr relieved Macon to pitch the 4^th.  Nieten homered in the 5^th.  UCLA found its stroke in the 6^th; DiSalvatore singled, Burney doubled, both scored on Dolan’s one-out homer.  Baylor padded its 5-3 lead with scores by Vannatta and Walker, top 7^th.  Andrea Harrison and Langenfeld slugged back-to-back HRs but no more.

Syracuse opened a 4-0 lead top 1^st, Gibbs 2 rbi, but Texas shut them down the remainder.  Texas tied in bottom 3^rd; Savony led with a HR; Thrasher singled, scored on Bennett’s rbi; Craig scored on an error, Bennett scored on Feight’s single.  The Longhorns scored the eventual game winner in the 5^th; Schmidt singled, stole 2^nd, and scored on a wild pitch.

The Beavers led the entire game, 6-0 after three, and 7-2 going into the 7^th when the Buckeyes scored 5 runs to tie, four on Herron’s two-out grand slam..  Ohio State ITB runner Spears scored on Ledford’s single.  The Beavers had Sanchez on 3^rd with the tying run but made three straight outs.
