EDDIE FEIGNER AND THE ASA HALL OF FAME
|
Charles Dobbins, head coach at Peace College, writes: We played a Cherokee Indian men's fastpitch team from the reservation at the Hall of Fame complex in June of 1998.
|
He was the first softball super star, when fastpitch was a men's sport and a source of pride in small town America. The women and young girls that play this sport today owe a lot to old # 7, THE KING !!!! |
The ASA Hall of Fame honored Eddie Feigner and the Court with a special plaque for their contribution to the sport of fastpitch softball. This was an example of lives going full circle. Back in the 50's, ASA banned Eddie and the Court from competition due to our "professional" status. Don Porter and Bill Plummer showed true class that day in honoring Eddie and celebrating his special accomplishments to this great sport that was his passion.

MY DAD IS A FATHER
A little boy got on the bus, sat next to a man
reading a book and
noticed he had his collar on backwards. The little boy asked why he
wore his collar that way.
The man, who was a priest, said, " I am a Father."
The little boy replied, "My daddy doesn't wear his collar like that."
The priest looked up from his book and answered "I am the Father of
many."
The boy said, "My dad has 4 boys, 4 girls and two grandchildren and he doesn't
wear his collar that way."
The priest, getting impatient, said, "I am the Father of hundreds" and
went back to reading his book.
The little boy sat quietly thinking for a while, then leaned over and
said, "Maybe you should wear your pants backwards instead of your
Collar. "
