Arizona Hotshots 2, Batbusters GH 0. WP Nicole Ayres. LP Donna Kerr. A walk and errant throwdown led to the first run. Talor Haro beat out an infield hit and scored on Kelsey Starr’s rbi.
Texas Impact 4, Shamrocks 2. Brittany Barnhill and Whitney DuPuis singled; a run scored on an error at 3rd; then Kayce Walker drove in 2 runs to give Emily Shadow a 3-0 lead. Impact would score a final run on an error at 3rd by the Shamrock shortstop, Samantha Ingersoll. Ingersoll led a Shamrock rally with a ground rule double, and scored on Bridget DesBois’ double. Kerry Hickey drove in a run. Starter Kelly Engman gave way to Brit Gardner who checked Impact, but a final inning Shamrock rally was snuffed by reliever Megan Mikeska who struck out the last two batters.
Batbusters GH 1, Shamrocks 0. WP Amanda Williams. LP Kerry Hickey. Brittany LaStrapes scored the run on a bases-loaded walk. The Shamrocks major threat was thwarted by a fielder’s choice play at home. Donna Kerr closed out the game for BBH.
Shamrocks 8, Hotshots 3. WP Megan Elliott. The Shamrocks scored 2 runs off Katie Cotta in 2 innings; 4 runs off Nicole Ayres in 2 innings; and 2 runs off Taylor Haro. Dorian Shaw belted a 2-run homer in the 1st. In the 3rd, Haller and Ingersoll had base hits; DesBois was hit by a pitch; Erin Marrone socked in 2 runs; Elliott had an rbi; and a run scored on an error. Shaw drove in the last 2 runs in the 5th. Brittany Ensminger jacked a 2-run HR in the 4th for Arizona.
Firecrackers 2, GC Hurricanes 0. WP Megan Langenfeld. LP Stephanie Brombacher. The first run was driven in by Ashley Hansen. The second run was generated by back to back singles by K’Lee Arredondo and Langenfeld. The latter hit, on a rise, caromed off Brombacher’s left ear, cutting the ear and forcing the GCH ace from the game. Jessica Lupardus relieved. After a strikeout, she gave up an rbi single to Melanie Roth.
Georgia Elite 3, Batbusters GH 2 (Thursday game). Crystal Robinson won for Elite, with relief from Monica Perry. The Elite gave up a run in the top of the 1st, then scored 3 runs in the bottom, forcing Hannah Williams from the BBH mound.
Batbusters GH 1, Texas Impact 0. WP Amanda Williams. LP Brittany Barnhill. Danielle Maricle scored the run on a single by Katie Schroeder. Pitching only her 3rd game at 43 feet, Williams struck out 7 of the first 9 batters.
Batbusters TD 6, Beach Girls 4. The BG’s led 3-0.
