Gators Retain Top Spot in Poll
05/13/08 - NFCA Release

Florida, the top seed in the 2008 NCAA Softball Tournament, retains the top spot in this week’s USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll. Pac-10 Champion Arizona State retains the second spot in the poll followed by third-seeded Alabama at No. 3, fifth-seeded Texas A&M at No. 4 and the NCAA’s second seed, UCLA, ranked fifth. The 2008 NCAA Division I Softball Championships begins on campus sites this Thursday.

The USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll is voted on by NCAA Division I head coaches representing each of the 30 Division I conferences. Records shown are through May 11, 2008. First-place votes are in parentheses.
