A right-handed pitcher from Suisun City, CA, Hollowell threw seven innings, allowed two hits and recorded 12 strikeouts in the Cats 3-0 win over No. 3 Washington.  The game marked her ninth double digit strikeout performance this season. In Arizona’s 3-0 win over No. 1 UCLA, Hollowell boosted her sixth one-hitter this season.  She also added another solid seven innings against UCLA with the 5-1 Wildcat victory.

Alicia has thrown well for us all year and I thought this past weekend would be a true indication of how well she is really throwing,” said Arizona head coach Mike Candrea. “She works very hard and has the skills to go with it. She is having an outstanding year and we look for that to continue.”
