2008 PITCHER NEEDED AT MID-TERM

I am a NCAA DII coach in Southwest Missouri, and I am looking to find a pitcher.  I know you probably get 1,000 of these emails a week, but I am asking on the off chance that you might know about someone.  I am wanting to bring them in in January to compete in the 2008 season.

Please let me know if you know of anyone who may have left a school, or just didn't sign.  I appreciate any help you can offer.

Thank you,

Christy Capner

POTPOURRI

Can you believe?  Caroline Kennedy turns 50 this month.

We had forgotten.  Thirty years have passed since the Hearst heiress joined the Symbionese Liberation Army.  Brought back memories of the LA cops shooting that house apart, and one of the girls crawled into an air duct and suffocated – gave nightmares to claustrophobics everywhere.

Another war we didn’t win.  Twenty years ago, the White House, State, DEA and DOD sent helicopters and troops into Bolivia to wipe out the cocaine labs.  The C130 used to ferry the dismantled choppers was the largest moving object in the Andes.  Needless to say, by the time the helicopters were reassembled, the labs had closed down and the equipment buried in the jungle, waiting for us to leave.

A card I didn’t need.  Among the birthday salutations I received today was a card from a company offering to sell me a trained seeing-eye guide dog.  My vision isn’t that bad and I wasn’t that lost in Houston.
