OCTOBER 24 UPDATE

PRAY FOR THE GLOWACZ FAMILY

I received this sad message this evening from John Glowacz, coach of the Houston Power and a friend for many years.  God bless you and your family, John.

Its with sadness, that I tell you my son died today in a tragic traffic accident.  He was loved be many and spent many days and nights watching softball.  At times when I could have spent time with him, I was out on a softball diamond coaching.  Matthew was a freshman at University of Houston, making good grades, managing the girls soccer team and being a member of a fraternity.  typical college life .  He was loved by many and touched the hearts of many.  He loved God adn the church.  Our family loved Matthew and will miss him immensely.  His humor, his smile and his love for us and life.  It has not hit me yet, but will as it comes with short spurts.  I know I have to be strong for my girls and my wife.  But I want to tell you that it hurts.  I am in pain and I don't feel like I got to tell Matt tha I loved him enough.  If you can do anything for our family tonight.  Go hug your kids and tell them you love them.

Sincerely

John Gowacz

The well-known and very highly regarded head coach at DePaul informed SPY on Sunday that he has agreed to coach the new NPF franchise, Chicago Bandits.  The seasons do not conflict.  We have been previously informed of contract negotiations between the Bandits and certain players.  Could be a power house in the Windy City.
