More From Fiesta

Hotshots A reports that Shelby Davis, a senior catcher/3rd baseman from Phoenix went 3 for 3 for the weekend with 2 balls hit off the fence.

The Roadrunners had four homeruns hit over the weekend. Two hit by Jenny Corkin a junior 1st baseman/catcher from Phoenix and two by T.J. Eadus, a junior 3rd baseman/catcher from Tucson.

The Roadrunners also reported that Valerie Villela, a junior shortstop from Phoenix had several outstanding diving plays for outs. Jenna Rome their sophomore first baseman had a game saving stop at 1st base. Patty Egan, their junior Pitcher from Sierra Vista pitched two shutouts.

Meanwhile, SPY got this explanation from Vancouver Ford Fastpitch, somewhat contradicting the report sent to SPY by the tournament: Last weekend we played in the Fiesta Tournament in Tucson on the 16a side. As much as we enjoyed the comment about us on your site, some of it is not true. We have been playing 18a for the past two years in FALL BALL in the Portland/Vancouver/Salem area and we did play up in some summer tournaments in this area as well. We have not played any 18a or Gold teams from California. We have played 18a and Gold teams from this area and our only loss was to Glacier Gold in the finals this year in a tournament. I think we are a very good 16a team who can play with the very best and we love the challenge!

Humor

Rog May submitted this piece, You Know You’re in the Twenty-First Century when:

Your reason for not staying in touch with family is because they do not have an e-mail address.

You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.

Your grandmother asks you to send her a JPEG file of your newborn so she can create a screen saver.

You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home.

Every commercial on television has a web site address at the bottom of the screen.

You buy a computer and 3 months later it is out of date and now sells for half the price you paid.

Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go get it.

Using real money, instead of credit or debit, to make a purchase would be a hassle and take planning.

You just tried to enter your password on the microwave.

You consider second-day air delivery painfully slow.

Your dining room table is now your flat filing cabinet.

Your idea of being organized is multiple-colored Post-it notes.

You hear most of your jokes via e-mail instead of in person.

You get an extra phone line so you can get phone calls.

You disconnect from the Internet and get this awful feeling, as if you just pulled the plug on a loved one.

You get up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee.

You wake up at 2 AM to go to the bathroom and check your E-mail on your way back to bed.

You start tilting your head sideways to smile. :)

You're reading this.

Even worse; you're going to forward it to someone else.
