GAME NOTES

Readers help needed.

At midnight Saturday, trying to decipher a day’s notes, we found the following:  Danielle hit 2 home runs – a 3-run shot and a solo.  Danielle who?  What game?  Who won?  Another note:  Valley Breeze won 10-7.  Against which team?

Cruisers 2, Victory USA 1

CeCe Luster (2010) was impressive last summer, and is now.  Melanie Fagaly drove in Justeen Maeva with one run; Michelle Takeda drove in Lauren Yao with the other run.

Grapettes 8, Victory USA 1

Alaina Shull pitched the win.

SoCal Athletics 1, AZ Hotshots Gatti 1

The Athletics scored on a bases-loaded walk off Meredith Whitney, pitching in relief of Sam Parlich.  Katie Tamayo pitched for the SCA’s.  Brigette DelPonte drove in the run for the Hotshots.

Cruisers 3, OR Panthers 0

The score when SPY watched, briefly.  Jenna Rich pitched for the Cruisers.

Team New Jersey 3, So Cal Athletics 2

Kaley Coonce pitched for TNJ, Carly Hummel for the SCA’s.  The A’s took the lead 2-1 in the top of the 2nd.  Mallory Campbell singled, advanced on a passed ball.  Jessica Montez singled.  Both scored.  Three pitches determined the outcome for TNJ.  In the bottom of the 1st, Kourtney Salvarola scored on an rbi hit by Courtney Liddle.  Salvarola tied the score at 2-all with a first-pitch home run.  In the final inning, Salvarola hit another first-pitch home run for the victory.
