TEAM CANADA SEEKS HEAD COACH
Full Time Head Coach
Women’s National Team Softball Program
An exciting opportunity exists to join Softball Canada in the role of Head Coach of the Women’s
National Team Program. The Head Coach is accountable for the development of the Women’s
National Team Program in the pursuit of podium results at Major International Competitions (including
Olympic Games, World Championships, and Pan American Games) while contributing, through their
engagement, to the physical, psychological and social development of each athlete entrusted under
his or her care. The coach will also have input into coach/athlete development programs.
To be considered for the position, candidates should possess:
• International/Elite Softball Coaching Experience;
• Certification at Level 4 under the National Coaching Certification Program or equivalent;
• Sound financial, interpersonal, communication and administration skills; and
• The capacity to travel domestically and abroad for extended periods.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset but is not mandatory.
This is a full time position. The term of this position starts in the Spring of 2005 and extends until
November 1, 2008. The location of the appointment and compensation for the successful applicant
are subject to negotiation.
